Lacey I paced inside my father’s office, trying to control my breathing as the power continued to move under my skin. Sydney’s words replayed in my head. I wanted to blame her, to let all of this power explode out of me and diminish her, but what she said made sense. She was just trying to sustain her way of life. A debt owed must be repaid.
