Fin and I followed Ben at a distance to the pack hospital. It was in the small town inside the pack lands. I definitely intended on expanding the town when I took over as alpha.
Right now, it consisted of the café, the diner, a few little shops—Margo’s plant shop being the largest. The library and the school were at the edge of town, but for a lot of things we had to drive to bordering towns. When I say bordering, it’s a stretch, because the closest one is an hour and a half away.
My mind wandered as we waited outside the pack hospital for what felt like forever. We stood there in silence, just processing everything that had happened, until my father arrived.
