My body robotically followed Angela’s movements, her hand holding mine, dragging me along. It has been like this since yesterday, when her lips slammed into mine. My brain screamed to pull away, but my body just would not listen. Even now, as she pulled me along into the palace so she could go to her lunch shift in the kitchen, my brain was screaming to let go, to tell her to never touch me again, but my mouth wouldn’t form the words.
Mason growled and grumbled in my head, telling me something was wrong. Obviously I knew that, but what could it possibly be? Why weren’t my brain and my body connecting? I tried giving Mason control, but he couldn’t push forward.
