Coffee and Strawberry

Leigh's P.O.V My mind was debating - doubting whether to go or not. Loads of what ifs are crossing my mind. Like, what if this is some kind of a prank that Ashton pulled off? What if he was just acting up? What if I make a fool of myself? Ugh. I pushed open the door, as the familiar chime made a beautiful sound. No one looked up but the barista who smiled at me, nodding. I smiled back at her and scanned the place, hoping he's here. "Leigh," I looked at the table at the right corner and saw a brown eyed boy waving at me. I smiled at him as I made my way. He rushed to the other side and pulled the chair for me. "Thanks." He bit his lower lip and smiled, as he sat back across me. "You look nervous," I teased, smirking. Don't worry, I am, too, I thought. "I don't bite." He chuckled. "Thought I'd be late." I smiled. I guess this is his 'act natural' then - its cute. "Well, it pays off that I told your friend." "Oh yeah," he smirked, as he pushed a cup of coffee to me. The foam has a heart shape with the word 'hi' in the middle of it. "I hope you don't mind. Just got it before you came, anyway. You like strawberry, right?" Whoopsie. I actually don't fancy strawberries. I smiled at him, "I don't mind. Strawberries are healthy, aren't they?" There was an 'uh-oh' look in his face as if he knew what I was thinking. I giggle and said, "okay, I'm sorry. I eat jams though and I appreciate it. But I really don't fancy strawberries." "Yeah, its not actually good," he nodded, looking a little bothered as he stood up. "We can order a different one. What do you like?" "No, no," I refused, holding his hand. He looked at it and back to me, as he stopped. I pulled my hand away. "Sorry. Its okay, you don't have to order another one. You know what, I'll try this one out. I haven't tasted it. It isn't that bad, right?" "Are you sure?" He asked, as he sat back. "Yes, thank you," I smiled, assuring him. I took a sip of the coffee, as he watched me carefully - probably waiting for me to change my mind. "I'll stick to this."  He sighed in relief. For a couple of hours, we just sat there and talked about random things and threw jokes at each other. He never took his gaze off of me. And the longer I stare at his eyes, the harder it is to resist. A girl knocked and waved at Calum. She was standing outside the shop, in front of us, with a camera in her hand, pointing at it. He smiled at her and nodded, as she took a picture. "Okay," I started, as soon as she waved us goodbye and left. "I hope I wasn't in the picture 'cause the last thing I want is to receive loads of death threats." He just looked at me with a funny expression spread across his face as if he's about to laugh. What? Did I overreacted? But!
