CD and Numbers

470 Words
Leigh's P.O.V. "You guys look great together," Riley said - for what seems like the hundredth time - as we got off the bus. We're on our street soon, walking home. "If only he got your number. Oh my, I'd ship you. Otp! Otp!" "We're not gonna make the cut," I said, rolling my eyes, chuckling. "And stop digging that, will you? You got your own bag of freebies." "Oh my jfc," she said, taking out the CD out of the bag. "What? Wanna listen to that now?" I teased sarcastically, laughing. "Look!" She said excitedly, waving it to my face. "Steady! I can't read a thing," I demanded, taking it from her. There's a piece of paper inside with a scribbled note saying 'Text me: Hi coffee - so I'll know its you.' There was a number below it. "Its him! He's really into you, I knew it. Come on, now, text him. Or give him a call!" "First," I started as we stopped in front of our house. "How can you be sure its him? Second, its me he gave his number, not you. So, I decide whether to text him or not. And, lastly, he must have done that to loads of girls for all we know. I don't wanna be on his parade of girls." "But," she said in defense, but I cut her off, opening the gate as we stopped in front of our house. "We'll think about it, okay?" I smiled, as I closed it and ran to the door, unlocking it. "Fine, but you know its him. Coffee? You met at the coffee shop, i***t," she reminded me, waving. "See you on Thursday. Goodnight!" "Goodnight," I called back before I closed the door. Its already eleven, mum and dad must be sleeping now. The only sound I can hear is from the game my brother always play. "Is that you, Leigh?" Nathan called from his room, as I walked cat-style on the stairs, avoiding the cracks. I knocked on his door to say hi - or not. "Oh, it is you!" "Hi, Natty," I smiled. "Go to sleep now." "You go to sleep," he said, as he continued playing without taking his eyes off the screen. "Not because mum's radar is not on you does it mean its on me." "And not because you're older does it mean I have to follow," I teased. "Whatever," he said. He sure is irritated now - geez, I love my brother so much. I thank God for him! "Goodnight," I ran to hugged him, kissing him on the cheeks. "Hey, I'm playing! Geroff! Go away," he said, shoving me off him. "I hate you!" "I love you, too," I responded, as I ran back outside of his room, winking at him before closing the door.
