I felt a searing pain in my shoulder just as someone returned a shot to my attacker.
Heat spread all over my body and my vision was blurred.
"IGNAZIO!" Romano's voice echoed, but it seemed distant.
I stumbled, my knees buckled.
Alejandro rushed to catch me in his arms as I fell.
"Cazzo!” I heard cussing out.
I saw Romano's blurry image applying some pressure on the pain in my shoulder.
"Keep the pressure, don't move!" Alejandro shouted.
The pain was overwhelming and darkness closed in around me.
The face of a redheaded beauty appeared on my mind.
"Danica..." I whispered.
I’d promised her that I would return to her soon. Pain tugged my heart at the thought of disappointing her again.
