Chapter Seven

He opened the door and kept on pacing; covering kilometres but soon enough he was feeble and X-rod was fast. He reached a place where they were two pathways, without hesitating for a moment he took the one on the left. Shortly thereafter,he found a domicile, which seem to be surrounded with trees.Rapidly,he bolted into the abode,he had a spark of hope in him and made a sharp sigh of relief. He ensured that the door was closed and whirled his face towards the rear. Just then,he sighted X-rod inside! Seated comfortably on a couch in front of him. He shuddered. Quickly,he attempted opening the door but it didn't open. He caught that deceitful smile on his lips and the evil glint in his eyes as he kept on pulling and pushing.................

Bobby wheeled on the ground and unsealed his eyes. Comprehension dawned on him quickly and he realised it wasn't reality but a illusion,a nightmare. Then he recalled all that had transpired. From when they were both hypnotized till they arrived there. He was anticipating to see Flamerex by his side but he wasn't there, which occurs to be indubitably his best friend since the University even before they adhere with the Defenders.

Bobby tried standing but couldn't, thereafter he reluctantly concluded to sit up and recline on the wall.What kind of prison is this,he mused. To articulate the truth,it was a almost extensive with just one window,and it was more of a prison,anyways. His was heated and he quivered,they hadn't eaten for two days and X-rod's spell had made them powerless at the moment.

He sighted the cup lodged one corner,a cup of water,he had a strange sensation about the water but greedily gulp down deep swallows of the water. Strangely enough it tasted like a juice,a fruit juice and was so weird. Bobby woke Robert,who seem to be halfway in into Dreamland, up and also offered him. And when he drank to his fill, about to drop the cup on the ground he caught X-rod's eye at the puny hole on the iron door.

Robert said,"we shouldn't have drank that water. It's cursed."

Swiftly as they realised this their bone became sinewy, strong and their eyes red. The door unclosed and X-rod stepped in with some other mini-villians by his sides. He instructed the mini-villians to do something in a peculiar language.

He isolated his hands and said"They're mine now, i doubt if the Mayor would like this feeble brats."

Adeola roved sluggishly on the street glancing at most sides,he had begun to feel lonesome. Bobby was his pal and it was pretty easy, effortless to read his mind and Adeola,who also had telepathy as a ability, mostly didn't bother using his power while reading his friend's mind. Two nights without Bobby almost occurred to be a punishment for him,he felt like seeking for him but he had to wait until the time is right.

He headed for the supermarket solely to while away the time,Bobby birthday succeeded in getting his attention, again. Bobby's birthday was fast approaching and yet Adeola couldn't point out a suitable gift to buy for him. Nevertheless Adeola had asked Paul for a favour to help him with some kind of gift, Paul agreed and had been working on dark glasses which he referred to as the Sparky Super Sighter, also known as,the Triple S. It was a special glasses designed for a special purpose, which is to sight the things that are going on faraway.

Just as he meditated inwardly something distracted him,it was Sandra Jackson. Adeola knew about Bobby's and Sandra's misapprehension and he certainly didn't like the way they isolated from themselves. Perhaps this's a chance to amend things,he thought. And one thing about Adeola was that he never misses chances,at least to a large extent.
