When Two Worlds Meet

Chapter 10| The Office

*Sean POV*

Jessica Roberts. The day I saw her was the day I believed that angels exist. Her beauty is impecable, she's funny, sexy, everything I'd ever want in a woman. I just saw her in that food court at the mall and it was like my eyes were glued to her. She had this thing about her that just drew me in, I can't put my finger on it.

Today we opted for a lighter date. A picnic at the park will do. I am getting ready to go see my angel. I wear a black shirt with the sleeves rolled up and black jeans. I walk to my car with the picnic basket in hand and drive of to meet her. I call her while I'm on my way.

"Hey sunshine", I said with a smile. Damn this girl really brings that other side of me.

"Hey handsome"

"I'm on my way, are you there yet"

"Yes, I'm just setting up on our spot"

"Alright, I'll be there in a few."

I get to the park and I look around a while til I see her. Looking as beautiful as ever. There is something about he that just draws me in. I rush over to her and I give her a hug from behind, she sort of punches me in the gut.

"Damn girl, that hurt."

"Sorry I thought you were a stranger. Next time announce yourself or it will be aimed down there." she says pointing to my groin with a sly smile.

"Okay Cruella, I'll watch out."

She frowns a bit. "Okay I'm joking." I say going over to hug her.

We sit down and enjoy the picnic and I get a call from work.

"Hey babe, I got called in to work. It's pretty urgent."

"Awww, but when will I see you again?" she says with a frown.

"Well you don't have to. I wanna show you where I work."

"Yay. Then I'm excited to go." she say as she immediatly stands up.

We pack up our things and we go to the car. The drive to the office was pleasant, we talked all the way there.

*Jessie POV*

We get to a building writted Carter Holdings in bold. A lot of the workers greet him with a lot of respect and hints of fear.

"What is that you do again." I asked.

"I own the place." He says nonchalantly.

Oh damn. That's cool. We get to his floor and we're by this woman whom I assume was his assistant. He asks me to wait in his office while he goes to a meeting.

After a few minutes a blonde haired woman walks in. She pauses a minute.

"Where is Sean?."

"Hello, he's in a meeting."

"You must be his second assistant, give him this." She says handing me a file.

She then leaves. 'She seems nice.' I say to myself sarcastically.

After two hours Sean comes back from his meeting. I give him the files and we head out of the office to tour the building. And out of nowhere, the lady from earlier reappeared.

"Hi Sean." She sees his arm on my waist and sends me a dirty stare. Dramaaa!

"Hi, Chrissy. This is my girlfriend Jessica."

I am beaming with excitement on the inside. He just announced me as his girlfriend!

"Hi, nice to meet you. Again." She looks so appalled.

"This is your girlfriend? Well you sure did downgrade from me." She scoffs.

"Ey, be respectful. She is my girlfriend and as your boss I require you to respect her. Or I can make your job very miserable here. The fact that we have history doesn't give you an advantage."

"What? I mean we both know she's not your type. You want something more, exciting." She said getting closser to him. Oh hell NO.

"Excuse me?! I think I am more his type that you ever will be. Isn't that why he's with me and not you?" I said with a smirk forming on my face.

She walked away annoyed and angry.

"Don't pay attention to her baby. She can be a little bit of a bully, but you stood up to her. I'm proud of you." Sean said with a smile."

"Why does she even work for you if she is a bully?" I said with a stern face.

"She does her work well, but I can fire her if you're bothered by her."

"No, besides I won't let her bother me." I said with a smile.

"Are you sure, you really thought about it for a while." Sean said with a smirk.

"Shut up..."I said as I nudged him "and anyway take me to the food..I barely ate anything before we came here."

We ate and just had a wonderful lunch at the cafeteria at his company. Not the ideal date I had planned but that'll have to do for now. What matters was that I was enjoying lunch with my mate, who doesn't know he's my mate. But maybe he.won't be so pissed when he finds out right?
