On her messenger, Georgina was lying in her bed talking to her two other friends in Kansas. She told them about her life's events and about Noah. They are also excited to meet him as they have heard so many good things from Georgina.
Amira encourages her not to mind Amanda after she mentions how she looked at her.
"She was just jealous because Noah liked you." She sounds supportive. Georgina was glad to have a conversation with them.
Marga said if Noah really liked Amanda, he should have asked her long before Georgina came.
Her friends give her clear thinking.
After her conversation with her close friends, she receives a text message from Noah, asking if he can go to Amanda's thanksgiving party or not. She smiles at her boyfriend's sweet gesture.
She purposely didn't reply. She was no longer afraid of Amanda. Noah had proven many times about his love and intention.
But she loves to make him feel worried sometimes. It makes her feel important and loved. It was her first time to feel that strong for someone. She missed him already.
Georgina had fallen asleep while holding her journal. She adjusted her eyes, and it was already dark outside. She could see the street light from the window, hurried downstairs, and saw her brother Goerge. He played in the living room center with all eyes and focused on an NBA game. Georgina asks him where everybody is, but he can't hear her, so she snaps the earphone and asks the question again.
He returned the earphone in his head without answering her. She slapped his shoulder for not getting any answer from him. Sometimes she wanted to really hurt him for being coldhearted. Why can't he just answer her correctly?
After a few minutes, her sister Georgina came from the front door and greeted everyone without looking at anyone.
She hurriedly took off her footwear and jacket and hurried her way through her room.
Like George, she is also out of nowhere.
After 10 minutes, she returns to the kitchen and asks Georgina about their parents.
Georgina muttered. She was also asking about that, but she was not listening.
She grabbed the juice from Georgina's hand and went to the living room, sitting on the couch comfortably with both feet in her chest while holding her cellphone.
Georgina shook her head while looking at her two siblings, not getting a proper reply, and started to prepare their food. Usually, her parents would be home during that time and start preparing for dinner.
She opened the refrigerator and looked for something she could cook. She saw beef, broccoli, potatoes, and some vegetables and started doing what she could do with the ingredients.
She opens her cellphone and voice searches for how to cook corn beef and follows the procedure. After a few minutes, she was done with her recipe. She added baked potatoes and set their table.
Suddenly the door opened, and their parents arrived from her father's office. Georgina was looking at her parents when they went to kiss her siblings and hurried to their room to change their clothes.
They forgot about me, she thought. Even if it was not intentionally done and Georgina understands they are in a hurry, she can't help but feel neglected.
She shakes her head and tries to erase the thought. She is overreacting. When she thinks about it, she knows it was just nothing.
The family is having dinner, Georginas feelings are still a little wounded when her mother, Elizabeth, asks her about her day.
She remembers Noah and his plan for their date. She wonders what will be their reaction if they learn she already has a boyfriend.
All eyes were on her at that moment. She felt like being interrogated, but she just shook her head and said it was fine. Her mother looks at her carefully. Georgina never leaves her eyes on the food. Too hurt and not in the mood for chitchat, though she appreciates their concern. The conversation went spontaneous again without Georgina's contribution until they were done with their food.
When Georgina was back in her room, she remembered Noah and his text. She hurried to her phone and saw his messages and missed calls, she was starting to write her reply.
But before she could even wonder, Noah texted her again. He said he didn't go to the party because she didn't reply to his text message. She suddenly felt guilty and dialed his number hurriedly. When he started to talk, she could feel her heart beating fast. Her conviction didn't get to convince Noah to went to the party because he had said he was already decided not to go.
After the conversation, she went to her journal and started to write the events in her day. She smiled at herself after writing what had happened to her day. She remembers when she makes fun of Noah and writes down her feelings for him. The more she got to know him, the more her feelings grew...
She was working in her journal when her mother came to her room and asked about her day. She felt awkward since she didn't do that a lot. Georgina knew her mother so well that she hated one-on-one and serious talk. She wonders what makes her talk to her now. "Blunt it, Mom. What's wrong?" Georgina asks her mother.
She looks at her carefully and asks if she has a problem with why she isn't talking and sharing with them.
Georgina hated conversation like that as much as her mother and dismissed her accusations she had a problem. She pretended to look cool. "I'm fine, Mom, don't be emotional." Georgina tries to kid her mother.
"Look, I just came in to check you are okay. I hope you adjusted to our life here already, sweetheart, me and your daddy are worried about you and your siblings. But I think everyones fine and got along with their life here." She muttered happily," and hows are your classmates and school?" And acted like she was leaving.
Georgina knew her mother wanted her to talk about school and knew that would make Georgina talk reverse psychology. Georgina wondered what her mother would think if she told her about Noah. She decided to confess about it now, so she called her name before she could leave the room.
"Yes, sweetie..." her mothers fast replied and returned to sit in her bed hurriedly as she already anticipated it would come. I-I already got a boyfriend." Georgina tensed. Her parents never forbid them from having a relationship, but they never talked about it.
She waited for her reaction but didn't hear anything. She was surprised when her mother suddenly giggled like a teenager; she smiled at her response and was glad she told her earlier she wouldn't feel guilty about it. They started talking about Noah.
"I'm sorry, mommy, I didn't tell you right away, but I was going to say it," Georgina explains.
"It's okay, sweetie; you are telling it to me now, right?" Georgina nodded. Her guilt is gone. those negative thoughts about her parents earlier also disappear
Tonight proved how much they loved her.
"Thank you for checking on me, mom."
Georgina said.
"Of course, well your father_" she cut her words and thought for the right words. "Your father is worried about your constant silence; he knew you don't like to talk much, but he was just concerned, you know him, over thinker." She muttered
Georgina smiled and thought, 'like father, like daughter.'
"He and me both," Georgina commented. And said, "I love you so much, but I'm fine mom, really" before she kissed and hugged her mother.
