Georgina's First Love

Getting to Know Each Other

After that first message from Noah, Georgina found herself constantly exchanging text messages to him,

" Good morning, sunshine."

Noah's first greetings.

Georgina smiled while looking at her cellphone. She didn't expect they would become friends and would be exchanging messages like.

" You sound like you're in a good mood today Mr. Grumpy." Georgina tease.

" Hey, I'm not grumpy." Noah's instant reply.

Georgina could almost see his frowning face and smile.

The truth is she was still on cloud nine after his first message.

" Hey, who's making my grouchy friend smile?" Georgina turned to face Pamilas's teasing smile. She scowl in disbelief. How could Pamila return her tease like that? Just earlier, she was calling Noah grumpy, and now his sister is calling her grouchy?

Georgina wonders if both siblings have mental telepathy. Pamilas smile faded when she saw her serious face, " I was just joking, George, why are you so serious," and she turned her head away from her to talk to their other classmates.

Georgina realized her mistake and also turned her face to the window. She chose that spot nearest to the window so that whenever she is bored, she will just pretend to look at something outside.

It was helpful, especially when she was sleepy.

Her attention was caught when she saw Noah and Amanda walking by the walkway together. Noah was holding his cellphone and typing something, her cell phone alert in an instant. She smiled when she learned he was texting her.

"Why are you not replying?" Noah texted.

Georgina thinks of a good reply.

"I thought you didn't want to get your time ruined with your friend." she saw his confused face and smirk on her desk.

Noah was turning his head around and spotted her. He shook his head when their eyes met, indicating walking with Amanda was not his choice. Georgina knew that as she saw when Amanda walked toward him, she just wanted to see his reaction. She smiles weakly while turning her head away from them. She reads her text message from him

" It was not my choice, she came to me. I don't want to be rude." Noah explain.

Georgina thought, why would he explain to her about it. She assumed maybe because they are already friends?

It was another ordinary day at school for everyone, but to Georgina, it was another colorful day because she could see Noah from the window.

After their Mathematics period and everyone was scrutinizing with Algebra, Marcus announced to the whole class that he was having another party this coming weekend.

Pamila came closer to her and whispered they should go. She just shrugged her shoulders.

"We have to go," Pamila is shaking her shoulder.

"all right, all right..'just take your hands off me," Georgina spoke while laughing, amazed at her friend's energy.

They were walking in the hallway when Noah came in their direction.

" You guys coming to a Marcus party?" he asked.

"What are you doing here?" Pamila scowl at his brother. Noah didn't listen to his sister and turned to face Georgina and repeat the question.

Pamila wanted to see her face and started to push Noah, but he was blocking her way. Georgina smiled at their childish act. Noah was also smiling while stopping his sister Georgina to answer him yes while looking at his eyes. She dropped her gaze when she saw his intense gaze. After giving her his last look, he turned to his sister and messed her hair. Georgina still giggled when Noah left.

"What's that all about?" Pamila pretended to scowl but was smiling at her.

"I don't know with your brother." Georgina replied.

"When did you two start talking with each other?" Pamila was curious.

Georgina stared at her friend and began to walk to their next subject.

"Since you went to my house and started sobbing," she didn't want to recall the incident again with her, but she already saw how her face changed. Pamilas cheerful attitude changed though she pretended to act cool.

Georgina also got guilty for mentioning it, so she tried to cheer her friend up and change the topic quickly. "Why do you really want to go to the party, huh?"Georgina grabs her friend's arm. "I've heard Mark will also be there." After she mentioned his name, her face lit up, and they started talking about her crush.

The party was almost the same as before, she met the same people she met during the first time. Georgina was playing her barefoot in the swimming pool while drinking her beer when Noah came to sit beside her.

"Why are you sitting alone here?" he asked Georgina.

Turning to see his face "hello also to you.." her reply

"Hey why do you look sad?" Noah can't help but asks .

"I'm not." Georgina wonders why he said that, but she misses her old friends from Kansas.

"Where's Pamila?" Noah ask. Georgina pointed her across the pool with Mark. Georgina turned to see his reaction and smile when she saw a slight protective look before sitting with her.

"She is alright. Your sister is smart and can take care of herself." Georgina wanted to defend her friend.

Noah smiled and nodded. There was a long pause, and neither wanted to break the silence. When Georgina finally wanted to start the conversation, Noah also started to talk. They both laughed and started to feel comfortable again.

"Maybe I just my friends and my old hometown." She turns to Noah and regrets when she sees his killer smile. She turns her head back away from him and smiles.

Noah felt amazed at her reaction. And encourage her to talk about her old life. Georgina found herself sharing about Marga and Amira, her two other best friends, and their lives together. She also mentions about Seth, and Noahs face got interested when she mention him and asked if he was her boyfriend. Georgina quickly shook her head.

"No. Seth? No, he's my other best friend, our family is neighbors, and we go to school together. That's why we are always together." Georgina didn't see the apparent jealousy in Noah's face when she mentioned him.

"Now, it's your turn to talk," Georgina said.

"There's nothing really much about me, and turned his gaze to his sister, who was still smiling while talking to Mark." I have been living with her all my life."

Georgina also laughed at his joke. After a few minutes, Noah shared his life with her but skipped the part about his mother.
