All the people’s attention was on Samantha and Maximus. Even though they haven’t even entered the White House Villa, a lot of people have been waiting for them.

Lot of cameras continued to flash, this way and that, as if they all didn’t want to waste this opportunity to meet the Alpha and Luna of the GrandFord Pack.

The eyes of the Alphas who attended the celebration were fixed on Samantha. She was so beautiful and sexy that they couldn’t take their eyes off her.

From a distance, Samantha saw Lacey and Mrs Lindsay looking at her from head to toe in disbelief. But later, Lacey’s face changed to intense envy when she noticed Lucas, he who couldn’t take his eyes off of her, stunned by what he is seeing now.

Mimi came later. “Dammit, Samantha. You’re making the boys go wild.”

Samantha was stunned by Mimi’s words. Her eyes automatically went to Maximus. But she noticed that Maximus’ full attention was only on people. She let out a sigh, letting go with the idea that Magnus would react to what his sister had said.

“I wonder which of them will bite you later,” Mimi whispered, giggling with her own idea.

Samantha’s eyes widened even more. “Mimi...” But she trailed away when Mimi excitedly looked at her.

“Do you want me to teach you how to get a man in a blink—HEY!” Mimi couldn’t continue what she was saying when Maximus suddenly grabbed Samantha’s hand to go directly inside the villa and leave her.

Samantha could noticed the seriousness on Maximus’ face. Is he being pissed or jealous?

‘Or both?’ Samira countered.

Samantha shook her head as she just thought it as nonsense.

There was more press waiting for them inside. Later, a pressman approached Samantha while zooming the camera at her.

“Luna Samantha, may you let us interview you briefly,” said the pressman and even though Samantha did not agree yet, he immediately asked. “We heard you are the illegitimate daughter of the former CEO of Carpenters Company, is that true?”

Because of that, the surroundings got stopped in shock at what they heard. The Luna of the GrandFord Pack is an illegitimate daughter?

The pressman continued cheerfully, “And we also heard that even though you are an illegitimate daughter, Mrs Lindsay and Lacey treat you like a real family, would you mind giving us good feedback on how kind they are to you?”

Samantha trembled. What was happening?

From behind the pressman she could see Mrs Lindsay grinning.

In her complicated past, she didn’t remember anything but her dark past when her stepmother and stepsister humiliated her in the media causing the Sylvania Pack to hate her, and now her stepmother was doing it again in the GrandFord Pack.

Maximus looked at Samantha. And just a few seconds later, numerous security guards entered to handcuffed the pressman and his team.

Mrs Lindsay’s eyes widened and immediately come near to them. “Alpha, what are you doing on Sylvania Pack’s press?”

Maximus ignored her, instead he turned to the pressman with his intimidating aura. “How much did this old lady pay you?” he asked coldly, causing everyone to gasp in shock.

Because of that, they all looked at Mrs Lindsay. Now everyone was whispering how desperate this old lady was to even try to mess with their Luna.

The pressman swallowed in fear. “100,000 dollars, Alpha!” he answered quickly causing Mrs Lindsay to be more embarrassed.

Beta Henry handed the cheque to Maximus, he signed it and gave it to the pressman. “Make sure I won’t see your face in my territory again, understand?” he whispered at him blankly.

The pressman nodded quickly as he was immediately dragged out of security with his team.

Samantha was stunned by what she witnessed. She looked at Maximus. Just as when, he looked at her, causing her to got stunned slightly.

Maximus cleared his throat. “Dad are waiting on us. Let’s go.”

Despite the chaos, the celebration of the GrandFord Pack continued while Lucas and Lacey were in the big dining room with Lycan King Markus, Lucas’ uncle.

Just a few seconds later, Mrs Lindsay entered, her face red with anger and embarrassment. But when she saw King Markus, her face immediately lit up and then she greeted him. She sat down next to Lacey.

“Mom, where have you been?” Lacey whispered.

“Just doing a business,” Mrs Lindsay lied, she didn’t want to talk about the embarrassing thing that happened to her earlier.

“You kept us and King Markus waiting!” Lacey said irritatedly.

“No, Lacey, don’t worry,” King Markus interjected straightforwardly. “I am waiting for some guests—oh, they’re here!”

King Markus happily stood up as Mimi entered and so did Maximus and Samantha. King Markus invited the three to sit down.

Meanwhile, Samantha saw Mrs Lindsay and Lacey who was also sitting at the dining table with Lucas staring at her in surprise.

Mrs Lindsay raised her eyebrows and spoke to Lacey, “At least, your husband is the nephew of the Lycan King, so Sylvania Pack is still the most powerful.” And then, they both giggled. The old lady said it loudly as if they meant it to be heard by everyone.

“Lucas,” King Markus called. “I would like you to meet Mimi, my daughter and... Maximus, my son.”

Lacey and Mrs Lindsay were completely speechless at what they heard.

Samantha also didn’t know that Lucas is related with Maximus’ family. In that case it is not unlikely that their paths will cross again.

The conversation was filled with conversation revolving the packs and after a few minutes, Samantha excused herself a bit to go to the restroom. Being with the people who betrayed her only made her chest tight. But she needs to be strong especially now that she is becoming close to those who wronged her.

When Samantha finished, she immediately left the restroom. But she quickly got stopped when she saw Lucas outside, leaning against the wall while looking directly at her.
