Chapter 11 Steve awoke Saturday morning to the sound of his phone chiming. He grabbed it, pushing the answer button before the ringing could wake Gary. Easing out of bed, he went into the hallway and closed the door before he said, “Who the hell is calling at the crack of dawn.” There was a short bark of laughter before Owen replied, “It’s me.
