Chapter 26 Morning. Alec wasn’t planning to leave until ten, but it was just after six and Dom couldn’t sleep, even after everything he’d been through yesterday. Under the blankets he shared with Kiko he lay on his back, feeling alone. Beside him Kiko snored lightly, still asleep, still recovering from the nearly-deadly experiences of the previous day. Dom rolled over to watch Kiko sleep, on his side, faint bruising just visible on his neck in the dim of the dawning morning. He’d done that.
