Kiko wanted to spend extra time in the shower, letting the warmth of the water wash over his skin, soothe his neck, comfort him like Dom’s embrace had. He suspected Dom had been awake for a while before him, just lying there, holding him. Kiko wanted to smile at that but couldn’t. The day had come. Dom must have felt similarly, because Kiko found himself alone in the kitchen after his shower, coffee percolating, trying to figure out what to cook. This was his only chance to really make Dom a meal, and he felt like he could go back to bed.
