Chapter 10 Wanna Seduce Me?

1064 Words
Even if Yolanda had made up her mind, the thought of facing Joseph still made her hesitate. His fury from the last day was still fresh in her mind! Taking a deep breath, Yolanda mustered her courage and stepped into the villa. She changed her shoes and walked in, forcing a smile as she greeted him, "Mr. Sutton." Joseph put down the financial magazine he was reading and glanced at her. He repeated mockingly, "Mr. Sutton?" Was she playing hard to get while refusing to divorce him? Despite her previous apology, Yolanda did it again sincerely, "I didn't mean to touch your stuff. I am truly sorry." "A simple apology is far from enough. You know that, right?" Joseph leaned back lazily and his legs elegantly crossed. For some reason, he felt a twinge of satisfaction seeing her pretending to be humble. He truly relished her cautious look, enjoying the power it gave him. If Yolanda knew what he was thinking, she would have cursed him as harshly as she could. But now, she was just a poor soul, forced to bow down to him for survival. Yolanda stared at him for a moment, steeling herself to charm him for the sake of her job. With a strained smile, she fetched a glass of water for him. "Mr. Sutton, please, I know you must be generous enough to forgive my offense." Joseph found her forced smile unattractive. "That's quite an ugly smile you're wearing." Attempting to relax, Yolanda just found it impossible to ease up in front of Joseph. Biting her lip, she lowered herself further. "My apologies." "If you want to apologize, show some sincerity. Maybe by disappearing from my world?" Joseph's face was expressionless, but his words cut deep. From his point of view, Yolanda was an intruder. So, she was supposed to leave! However... Yolanda didn't mean to intrude. Everyone knew Joseph was reluctant to marry her. But was she supposed to be happy about it? Did anyone ever bother to consider her feelings? Yolanda's beautiful eyes, usually clear and bright, now shimmered with tears. Joseph caught her gaze, feeling as if something pricked his heart, making it hard to breathe. For a moment, Joseph felt a flicker of something. He pretended to be indifferent and looked away, his tone softening slightly. "What, trying to gain my sympathy by playing the victim?" Yolanda fought back her bitterness, trying to keep her voice steady. "It's not that I don't want to leave you, but my promise to your grandfather doesn't allow me to divorce you." Normally, she wouldn't share such personal details to gain sympathy, but pride was a luxury she couldn't afford right now. "My mother was sick, and your grandfather helped her get treatment. So, I had no choice but to marry you. Do you think you're the only one forced into this marriage?" Joseph squinted, his gaze icy. "Are you saying that you're forced, too?" "Of course I am! If it wasn't to save my mom, I would never have agreed to marry you!" Yolanda retorted, her sour emotions barely in check. If it weren't for her circumstances, she wouldn't be in such a pitiful state. Joseph sneered. Did she mean that she didn't want to marry him and was forced into it? But why did her reluctance annoy him so much? "So, you've been feeling wronged after marrying me?" Joseph hissed. "Yes," Yolanda answered frankly. Her quick response infuriated Joseph. The overwhelming rage made his temples throb. Since when did she get the place to say she was forced into this marriage? Who did she think she was? And what right did she have to say so? She was nothing but a shameless woman! Her reluctance was more like a direct affront to him! "Marrying me is tormenting, isn't it?" Joseph's fake smile made him seem even more sinister. Yolanda didn't understand why he was angry, but she still answered honestly, "Yes." Every moment with Joseph was excruciating for her. Her immediate response highlighted her strong aversion. "Huh." Joseph rose to his feet abruptly. "Since it's so tormenting, you can keep enduring it!" He wasn't in a hurry to divorce. Even if he didn't like her, he would make her suffer! "Mr. Sutton..." "As for your job, as long as I ordered it, nobody will ever hire you!" Joseph said venomously. Desperate, Yolanda grabbed the hem of his shirt. "I love my job, and I really need it, please..." Joseph was annoyed by the tug and brushed her off violently. Exhausted, Yolanda collapsed onto the couch, her disheveled blouse exposing her delicate waist. It was so vulnerable as if it could easily be broken. Such a scene stirred a primal urge within Joseph. His eyes darkened, his tone chilling as he masked the rasp in his voice. "What's wrong? Wanna seduce me?" Yolanda felt drained, the fall reigniting the pain in her head. Gazing down at her rumpled attire, she hastily straightened herself. "Even if you were to strip naked in front of me, I wouldn't be interested," he said coldly, each word sharp as a knife. Yolanda fell silent, knowing she couldn't convince a heartless man. Joseph observed Yolanda quietly, his eyes fixating on her attractive figure, finding it hard to look away. He had to admit that Yolanda possessed a charm that was undeniably captivating. Under different circumstances, he might have been very interested in sleeping with her. But he would never acknowledge any such thoughts about her. With that, Joseph turned away and walked upstairs. Yolanda curled up on the couch, too exhausted to move. She felt as though she had struggled mightily but saw no glimmer of hope. Despair engulfed her, her shattered heart echoing in the silent room. Late at night, Joseph came downstairs for water and saw Yolanda lying on the couch. The thin blanket on her body had slipped to the floor. He noticed it but showed no intention of covering her. However, just as Joseph turned to leave, Yolanda's hand shot out, suddenly grabbing his robe. With a sharp tug, the ties came undone, revealing his muscular form. Joseph was noticeably shocked as he realized her body so close to his. Feeling her soft breasts brush against him, he could even feel a flicker of s****l arousal. Shaking Yolanda violently, he shouted sternly, "What do you think you are doing?!"
