But the physical pain was nothing compared to the emotional agony of losing her child.
Thinking of this, Yolanda gazed down and remained silent.
But then, Joseph seized her hand firmly and leaned in to kiss her.
"Umm... What the hell are you doing?!"
Joseph's smirk was filled with a mischievous glee. "When I ask, you respond. That's just common courtesy. If you don't understand that, I'll teach you. That kiss was your punishment. If you continue to silently defy me, my punishments will only get harsher."
He added firmly, "I'm a man of my words."
Yolanda was already injured, plus her worries for her child; she couldn't afford to resist forcefully.
Despite her deep disdain for Joseph, she could only restrain her anger for now.
