Liam barely registered the click of the Alpha's office door behind him. He stood in the hallway, looking down the long empty corridor. Sun broke through doorways where light had burst into quiet rooms of the massive pack house. It left an odd pattern on the hallway floor.
His eyes, not really staring at any particular spot, glazed over thinking about Eliza. Holy crap, he thought. Did she understand how powerful she was about to become? How dangerous her life was about to be? The turmoil that was going to grip her life simply for being herself?
Liam understood. And he worried.
