One of the drag queens blocked Audrey’s path in front of the door.
Waiters turned and looked. Patrons put their knives and forks down. One of the kitchen staff even stuck his head through the door and gawked. One of the other waiters Kevin, came and pulled James away. I get that they were trying to have my back but this was all too much. We were all like a big family so I’d do this for them too.
