Jealous

1316 Words
It took four tries that morning to start my car and I had a pretty sinked up feeling that she was gonna call it a day. And to add on top of things, the petrol tank was dangerously low and to add to the extra worry for the morning apart from the whole Andrey weird thing,I got am SMS from my sister. >>>>>Cassy - Mom came home and found all the money again,I'm so sorry sis,I don't know what to do,I'm sorry A very bad feeling sinked into me, that feeling always came when my mom was brought up. In all my 21 years, terrible things had happened,I lost my dad and apparently I had lost my mom too. The house was convicted and so we had to rent a place. A ball of anxiety formed as I responded to my sister. Emmy - are you okay?where is she now? >>>>>cassy - She just left My mom was a huge problem. She ruined my life, but I won't let her ruin my sister's Emmy - when do you need to buy your textbook? With adding nothing to our lives,my mom just decided to add trouble to make our lives more difficult. With everything I and my sister had been through when father died, she was still bent on doing this. I wanted a brighter future for my sister. I wanted her to go to college and enter the working world without student loans that would cripple her for years to come, just like me. >>>>Cassy - End of the week,I feel so bad that you'll have to send me money again. Emmy - Don't, we've spoken about this so many times, you are my little sis,I'll pick up some extra shifts at the restaurant.love you. >>>>>>Cassy - You are the best, love you too If I had been habouring any small doubts about going out with Andrey, this had just reinforced the fact that I had no space for that in my life,my sister was my top priority and therefore so was my job. My last boyfriend hadn't understood that and wasn't able to cope with my family constant drama. Having to fetch her in the middle of the night out of the casino or pick her off the pavement after the security had thrown her out. My ex loathed the fact that I had to work every night of the week and had no time for him. He accused me of putting everyone else first including my job. Well I did,I had to. Eddy and Bruce were probably the only two people who knew how bad things really were. They knew the full, nasty, unedited truth of my life and I wanted to keep it that way. If it hadn't been for their help,my mom and sister would have been thrown out of that house by now. But thanks to my rent free living arrangements, and the flexibility of taking on shifts,I could pay for it. But thanks to my mother's constant crap, the landlord is starting to get pissed. Sometimes I had thought of abandoning her and telling Cassy to come live with me, Eddy and Bruce insisted but I couldn't leave her,she is my mother and my heart couldn't permit me to even try. I arrived at work after a thought filled car ride and was shocked to find Andrey in the office, usually no one arrived before me and I liked it that way. It gave me a chance to get on top of things before the usual chaos descended in all it's hellish glory. I also wouldn't mind a time to pull my self together before surrounded my people. The SMS from my sister had thrown me. He noticed me the second I walked in and smiled. I reciprocated with something that could be called a smile and sat at my desk. I lowered my head, opened some laptops, grabbed some files and slapped them down loudly. I was hoping to convey a do not dare disturb busyness. Obviously, it didn't work. Within seconds,he was sitting at the desk next to me and smiling. “How was your jog this morning?" “My what-" I almost forgot my lie “Ohh yeah my jog, yeah it was great,20ks clears the mind you know"-what am I saying,do joggers really do 20k. “20k impressive, you must be a serious pro. Shit! “Mhhhhhh" I nodded and picked up another do not dare disturb prob which I used to staple some random papers together before slamming them down my desk. He sat down as he watched me open a few of my emails and answered them While I filled a few papers away along with some more unnecessary stapling and busied my self with my morning rituals all the while trying to work out mathematical how much money I would need to make at the restaurant to buy my sister those books. But his stare was making me very uncomfortable and I wanted to turn and scream WHAT?!!!??? but he was the boss. “Is something wrong?" He finally asked “What?.....no... nothing,I'm fine.....just tired" “No,it's something else" I looked up at him feeling annoyed that he was trying to pull a Feud in me. Clearly he was perceptive - most men weren't. He leaned over the desk and looked up at me,a mixture of s*x,charms all rolled in a very expensive looking dark grey vintage suit. I didn't like this. Especially when he reached out and tried to take my hand in a commiserative fashion as if he knew me and understood what I was going through. But there was that look again-like he knew me I pulled away quickly and cleared my throat. I didn't want to do anything that would raise alarm bells and have him questioning him all day and I certainly didn't want him to think I was the kind of employee that let her personal life interfere with work. “It's something personal" I explained “Nothing I can't deal with and nothing that will distract me from my job I assure you" He eyed me curiosly “Thats not why I was asking you Emmy" and once again our eyes met and something strange and physical palpable hummed between us. Thankfully Jenna arrived at that exact moment. She and I usually had a chatty cup of coffee before starting for work but all her usual chattiness was gone the minute she saw Andrey. Jenna transformed into a swoony someone I did not recognize. “Good morning Andrey" she said in the most breathy whisper with the most stupidest girly smile plastered across her face. She was not subtle and looked at him a little too long before finally turning to me.“Emmy" I tried not to roll my eyes.Just Another woman that had fallen victim to Andrey's voodoo charms. “Morning Jenny" “Jenna" she corrected with a coy girly smile that made me want to slap her into adulthood. I looked up at Andrey and studied his interaction with her. He gave her a smile. a deadly, iceberg flirtatious s**t. “Good morning Jenna" His voice sounded more super friendly and enthused.-Too enthused What a bastard. I was right about him. He was like this with most of the girls. He was just your average man w***e. I couldn't help it but I actually felt a bolt of ugly jealousy rush through me. Jenna sat down and I had the opportunity to look at Andrey again. He was staring at me again and then flashed me a smile. I glared at him in utter disapproval before looking away and unnecessarily flicking a pen to the other side of the desk. Not the most mature move I'll admit. He looked at me as if he was slightly confused then got up and walked away. I looked at him as he walked away... Feeling......what exactly?...
