KAIUS POV

Like I have told you,you owe me your life and if you can't comply to my request you shall as well consider your self dead,I won't be the one to kill you but am sure your father will like to do so, Indie Marcella Alviso I said and she halted in her steps.The silence that followed after was tense till she turned back to face me,her face was expressionless like she was already expecting this

Why are you doing this She asked

I think you should sit down first I offered and she went back to her sit,her eyes not leaving mine

I wouldn't have sent my men after you but I made that decision on a whim because I want something from you and I am certainly the best option you have if you want to stay safe miss Indie I said

And am also sure you know who I am I added and she scoffed

You are trying to blackmail and coerce me into a marriage,I have always heard that you are a petty man that could resort to any trick to get what you want but isn't this too cheap, Kaius Giovanni Amalfitano She said and a dry humorless laughter escaped my lips,her eyebrows twitched in annoyance

Now that you've dropped the facade,I think we can talk I said

I want you to sign a contract with me,you will have to act like my wife for a year and after that we are going to get divorced I said and she laughed

Since you know who I am I don't think I need to remind you of the fact that I ran away from an arranged marriage She said

It's not like you have a choice, it's either you marry me or I call your father right now and he will come pick you up I said and her eyes flickered with an undecipherable emotion which quickly vanished

You can't threaten me with that,I am not afraid of death She said

That's good then,I will just have my men call your father I said and made to stood up,her breathing had stilled.I know she is going to give in so I stared to count 1,2--

Can I think about it She asked abruptly

I don't have the time and patience but I am going to give from now till tomorrow morning I said

Jerk She called

Am more than just that I said and she rolled her eyes

I will see you tomorrow morning then I said and start to leave

Wait,where do I sleep She asked

A maid will attend to you soon I said as exit the living room

I opened the door to my study and saw Leonardo,my right hand man and also childhood partner already waiting for me

Did she agree He asked

She wants to think about it I said in a monotonous voice

Have you really thought about it,you can just hand her over to her father and demand his cooperation with you in exchange for his daughter He asked as I sat down

I did think about that but I don't think Sage Alviso is a man who cares much about his family and due to past grudges with our family I don't think he will want to form an alliance with us I said

So you want to make the news of your marriage with his daughter public that way others will think the both of you are in alliance with each other and he will be forced to agree later on He reasoned and I nodded

I also want to get her to marry me so that Nonninah can get off my back about finding a wife I said

I don't think that's right,How will she feel if she learns that you lied to her about your relationship He said

It's not like she is going to find out and I really don't want to be emotionally invested,I don't want any one getting hurt because of me and I also want to be held down by anyone I said

Don't you think that person will try to hurt Indie He asked

Am sure that person must know that Indie is the only daughter of Sage Alviso I said

You have really thought this through boss He said with a smile.Leonardo is quite the opposite of me,even though he has witnesses a lot of gruesome scenes and also has a painful past, he never stops smiling and always likes to see the beauty in little things to make him happy

That's enough,you can go now I said

Maybe getting married to that girl might do you some good He said

What do you mean by that I said and he just grinned and left

I removed my suit and loosened the buttons getting ready to work but somehow I felt distracted.My heart jumped and I felt something I haven't quite felt in a long time when I saw indie's tears earlier and that had triggered my protective side.

What the f**k are you thinking Kaius I thought to my self

Indie POV

I combed my wet hair absentmindedly as Kauis's words replayed in my mind.Like he had said earlier a maid did attend to me and showed me my room giving me clothes to Change to,the room I was in was huge and had a very nice design with a huge comfortable bed, something I hadn't had or seen since I ran away from home six months ago.I had just taken my bath and was getting ready to sleep.I dropped the comb and went to my bed.Immediatly I lied down,a sigh of relief escaped my lips as I fell into the world of softness and luxury.My mood came crashing down when my thoughts went back to Kaius,that filthy jerk.

I truly have nothing to lose if I marry him infact,that would make my father back off since I have the most feared man in the underworld as a husband but if I do I won't be able to find my mother again.The real reason I ran away from home was to find my mom and I haven't been able to do so since I was constantly on the run and now my life is also about to be turned upside down and I also don't want to go back to that monster,he is going to kill me and if he does he will become the winner and I won't get to have my revenge.

A frustrated groan escaped my lips as I turned around,I don't want to be tied down by a man like Kaius but it seems like I have no choice.
