Chapter Eleven

Indie POV

My body was feeling hot all over,I couldn't even breathe properly and I was covered in sweats as I rummaged through my bag,it was supposed to be inside my bag yet I couldn't find it.I was looking for my allergy pills,I had always made sure to keep it with me and one thing I did before running away from my house was making sure that the pills were with me,I rarely used them the past few months and I was sure it was in my bag just two weeks ago.My hands were now feeling shaky and I was starting to feel a little bit dizzy,I pushed down the contents of the bag down to the floor from my hands and staggered down.I heard the door open and then pearl's excited voice followed but I couldn't hear her and then I felt her hands on my body which I immediately pushed away because it felt like it was burning me,the last thing I heard before everything went blank from me was the loud scream from pearl.

As I opened my eyes,my sight were all blurry and all I could see were figures and I could also hear muffled voice

Oh my God sis,you are awake I hear a voice say which was obviously from pearl.I closed my eyes and opened again and this time I could see more clearly,I was still in my room but an IV drip was connected to my hand and apart from pearl,both Kaius and a strange man in a lab coat which is the doctor were also both standing beside me

Are you okay now sis,you scared me so much last night Pearl cried,her voice breaking at the end and I just forced a smile at her,she wanted to touch me but I could see the hesitation in her eyes as if she was afraid of hurting me so I took the initiative and placed my hand on hers giving it a squeeze which caused her to smile admist her tears

How do you feel now Mrs Amalfitano He asked and I yet again cringed at the name,I f*****g hate that name

Do you still feel pain or any symptoms of the allergy He asked and I just nodded negatively,He placed his stethoscope on my heart and then peered into my eyes

She just needs more rest and she will be perfectly fine and I also advice she has no more contact with roses again,I assume you tried to supress the allergic reaction that's why your condition was worse yesterday The doctor said looking at me which made me look away

I will send a nurse to bring in the drugs for you He said

I shall take my leave now Mr Amalfitano The doctor said with a slight bow which made me roll my eyes

I will walk you out Kaius Replied and they both walked out the door

I really was so scared yesterday Sis,I thought you were going to leave me Pearl Says as she scooted closer to me

I am fine pearl,I would have been okay if I had taken my pills but I couldn't find it I explained

Let me get you some soup She said and before I could say anything she dashed out the door

Now left with an empty room,I just looked around aimlessly,the door suddenly opened and Kaius walked in,he stood beside my bed while I just stubbornly stared at the other side of the room refusing to meet his eyes

Was it so hard for you to tell me that you were allergic to roses He asked after a while but I ignored him

Am talking to you Marcella He called and I had that same stupid reaction to the name again,f**k his stupid Italian accent

I told you I didn't like roses I replied

That's different from telling me you were allergic to roses,I thought you were just being stubborn and looking for ways to annoy me,you almost lost your life yesterday He said in a slightly annoyed voice

Well I guess you would have being quite happy,its not like you like me been alive I snapped turning to face him,he seemed slightly taken aback at first but he immediately masked his expression

Of course I would,but I wouldn't be okay if you were to not die in my hands He said and I scoffed

So now you think you own me,let me tell you this Kaius,there is no way, absolutely no way I would ever die at your hands,I don't even know why I signed up to be with another egoistical and cold-hearted monster,I should have just returned with my father's men and have him kill me then all these will have ended I yelled

Don't you dare speak to me like that He yelled back

What are you going to do huh,I ask you what are you going to do,punish me,kill me or send me back to my father

I don't f*****g care no more Kaius,Go ahead and do what you are best known for or do you think am scared of you,let me tell you this I have met and dealt with men like you and the worst you can do is to kill me I yelled angrily,I was breathing heavily due to the anger

He stared at me with anger evident in his eyes,his blue eyes turning to a darker shade and the aura around him had changed and I would like if I say it didn't Scare me a bit but screw him and his anger,I have heard enough of his domeenering attitude

Sis,I brought the---Pearl said as she came in but stopped half way probably noticing the tension in the room and then,Kauis stormed out of the room.I sighed deeply and sank into the bed

Is everything okay sis She asked as she came closer and set the tray down

Yeah I managed to reply without snapping at her,I wanted to scream and tell her I was not her sister but I know she didn't deserve that

Can you leave,I want to be alone right now I said

But sis

Leave pearl I said firmly cutting her short,my voice was thick and heavy with emotions.She stared at me and then muttered a yes before leaving

Immediately the door closed I burst into tears,I was truly terrified last night and scared,I thought I would die yesterday I was scared that I wouldn't ever be able to see my mum,I won't be able to take my revenge and that I would be breaking my last promise to Mira.I closed my eyes as I let the tears roll down my cheeks.Its been six months and I haven't been able to do anything about finding my mum and yet I am already tied down with another monster
