Chapter 28

1430 Words

Noah _____ So this was the guy who rejected her? I hated him on sight, arriving and, at first, treating Gia like s**t. Why did he even come?  I breathed a sigh of relief when she turned down his wolf. I felt overly protective of her but didn’t want to but in.  She was an independent, powerful woman, and I knew she probably wouldn’t appreciate me stepping in. I swallowed my rage and anger at the mutt and let her deal with him. Ultimately, it was her decision anyway.  She proved me correct when she put him in his place time after time, and eventually, he even apologized. That was a surprise. I wasn’t expecting a vision when I touched her; I simply wanted to point out that we needed to leave and maybe goad the mutt a bit.  I got into the car with Gia when she gave us the option to leave.
