Gia  ____ That was strange. Davin and I actually had a conversation, one without fighting or apologizing. It felt weird; I waited for something inane or derogatory to come out of his mouth. It didn’t. Still, I couldn’t relax around him; he still felt like someone I had to be wary around. I was on edge, but the evening progressed peacefully despite my discomfort, and eventually, I felt a little more at ease.  It wasn’t long before we all retired, the frigid air too unpleasant.
