Unknown POV ____________ The desklamp shattered against the wall, littering the office floor with glass and porcelain shards. I touched the notebook that was always in my shirt pocket, a list of offenders that kept growing and growing. The familiar phantom pain struck my thigh, a remnant, a reminder of the time my brother stabbed me with a silver dagger.  My soul shattered a little more as I remembered her face again, the mate I had just found, tear-stained and bloodied, her eyes dead after he took her by force all those years ago.
