Gia ____ I was glad to be getting back to the village; It had been an eventful trip, to say the least. Ice gripped my heart as I realized something was amiss. People were lying everywhere. All men, where were the women? I recognized the old baker and his son, the general store owner, and Anders, the tavern owner.  My eyes scanned them frantically until I saw him, and my heart shattered.
