Chapter 19After parking the car in its usual spot, Eric and Benjamin walked hand in hand toward the diner. Eric checked the time, it was nearly a quarter past ten, and he would probably reach his restaurant much later than he anticipated, but he was in a wonderful mood, and he was enjoying this moment with Benjamin. For most of the journey, the two of them would stroll quietly along the road. They barely chatted with each other, but they did smile. A lot. After several minutes, Eric noticed the familiar buildings in the distance, signaling that he and Benjamin were getting really close to Chinatown.
“Where’s your diner at, baby?”
“A few feet away from us. It’s right next to the curb and a few inches away from that huge tree.”
Eric was confused because he couldn’t see the diner at all. “
