Natalia and Anas were in the guest house.
Anas was strolling through her phone” I can't believe Lucien Cross is trying to take over Eleanor’s Father's house and company, what a shame he is”. She said with a displeased expression.
“ Seriously?Are you surprised he's doing it? He may be Eleanor’s Uncle but he does not act like family to her, and that stupid daughter of his” Natalia said clenching her fist.
Anas sighed” This is not good, the house and company both rightfully belong to Eleanor. None of this makes sense Nat.
Natalia hugged her gently” Everything will be fine Anas, We will make sure nothing happens to Eleanor and she's going to recover her property from that stupid uncle of hers.
Anas smiled” Thanks Nat, and by the way, the men in the house are very hot , that Matteo dude is damn hot” she said, and a light blush cropped on her cheeks.
“ Damian is also hot,” she added.
Natalia rolled her eyes at her remark” You are a lost course Anas, And don't tell me you are crushing on that Matteo Ass?, and how can you consider that i***t Damian handsome?”.
Anas chuckled” I'm not crushing on him, and what is your deal with Damian?”
“He's an idiot.” That's my deal.
“You will never change Nat. Since we will be staying here for now, what will you tell your parents ” She asked, opening the fridge and grabbing a snack.
Natalia sighed” Well, I will think about that later”.
I was sitting on my bed, thinking of a way to recover my Dad's properties from my uncle. I knew clearly enough that I could not do it alone.
A knock on the door interrupted my thought” Come in” I said.
Liliana came in smiling as usual, her smile faded when she saw the worried look on my face” Is everything okay?” She asked worriedly.
I ran my hand through my hair in frustration” I don't know how I can stop my uncle from taking over my father's property. I can't stop him on my own”.
“Are you kidding Eleanor, You are The Vipers's wife Eleanor, it seems you don't know how powerful your husband is” She bragged about her brother.
I rolled my eyes at her” What made you think that your sweet loving brother would help me? and what made you think that I will accept his help?”.
“Alright sister in law, time will tell, I trust you can handle this issue”.
I smiled faintly” Thank you Liliana “.
My phone suddenly rang. I stretched my hand and picked it up.
I looked at the caller and it was Anastasia. I immediately answered the call.
“Eleanor I just got a message now that your uncle is so close to finalising owning The properties, his Working with your father's lawyer, you need to do something fast”. She said anxiously.
“What, but my Father trusted his Lawyer. I can't believe Mr Sergio did This” I said with disgust. I think I need to speak to him.
“Alright Eleanor, should we come with you?” she asked.
“ I will appreciate it,” I said and hung up the phone.
“What's the problem Eleanor?” Liliana asked.
I explained everything to her.
“ That's not good, you should go and speak with him now” She urged me.
I quickly left. I met Matteo on my way outside.
“Going somewhere my lady?” She asked without an expression on his face. After Dante, Matteo is definitely the next in line in being cold”.
“I need to meet with my Father's lawyer, it's very urgent”.
“I will drive you there, but I need to inform Dante first”. He said and brought out his phone and had a very brief conversation with someone, who is obviously Dante.
“After you, my lady,” he asked.
We both went outside and met Anas and Natalia.
I hugged both of them.
“Hello” Anas greeted Matteo, while smiling warmly.
He ignored her and hopped into the driver's seat.
“His just like his Boss, don't take it to heart” I told Anas patting her shoulder.
“Seriously, this is the second time he's ignoring you, heavens know that if I was the one he ignored like that, I would be sending him straight to the hospital with a punch”. Natalia said .
“That's enough girls, let's go” . I said and we all entered and Matteo sped off.
We arrived at Mr Sergio's office. I came down from the car, so did Nat and Anas.
Matteo also came down.
“You don't need to follow us, we can handle this, I will call you if I need your help” I said, stopping him from following us.
He was quiet for a while before slowly nodding” I will be right here”.
We left, I was just about to open the door of his office when my uncle opened it from the other end and came out.
He was surprised to see me” Oh my sweet child, it's been long. I'm very sorry for the loss of your father, he was a great man”. He said pretending to be sad.
I smiled” You seem very excited about his death, I wonder what you are doing in His Lawyer office?. Look uncle, I will never let you get your hands on my father's house and company, that is his legacy, so whatever thing you are doing with Mr Sergio should stop now”.
He laughed aloud like what I said was a joke” Oh my dear, your father's legacy will be safe with me, I'm his only brother remember, you can't do anything to stop me. I heard that your father sold you off to a mafia boss, you should focus more on being a dutiful wife than meddling in my business” He said, still maintaining his smile.
I clutched my fist. I wanted to wipe out that smug smile from his face.
“ You have some nerve Lucien Cross, Have always known you were a snake but I did not know that you were also heartless, you did not even check up on Eleanor but instead you were claiming her Father's properties “ Natalia did not waste time in giving him a piece of her mind.
Lucien gave Natalia a sinister look” You should stay out of our family Business kid” .
He looked at me” See you around Child” he said and left.
I stared at his departing figure and clenched my fist.
“Let's go Eleanor” Anas said and opened the door without knocking.
“You are such a disgrace, it's been nearly four days since Mr Sebastian Cross died, and you are already plotting with his brother to take his properties” Nat immediately pounced on him.
Mr Dominic Vane looked away from the document he was going through and looked at Nat with a stunt expression.
His eyes moved from Nat to me, he immediately looked away. I could see the embarrassment in his eyes.
He cleared his throat “It's nice to see you Eleanor “.
“Why do you want to give away my Father's company to Lucien?, I won't let that happen Dominic”. I said looking him straight in the eyes.
“I'm so sorry Eleanor, the process will soon be finalised, there is nothing you can do, what I'm doing is for the best. Lucien will take care of the company”.
I sneered at his remark” You are unbelievable Dominic, I will never let that happen, I'm going to sue Lucien”.
“Tell me how do you plan on doing that, you seem to forget that Lucien is powerful, you have nothing to sue him with”.
“Rumours are also flying around that your Dad sold you off to a Mafia Boss, so tell me why will a father make the same daughter he sold out, his heir. How will you deny that in court?” He asked.
“ You Bastard, you know that is not true, she was not sold” Natalia said and grabbed Dominic's collar tightly.
“Easy there girl, I was not the one that started the rumour, some even said that your Father was killed by your Mafia boss husband”.
“Enough!!!” I screamed. My head was spinning already, I could not believe what I just heard.
I looked at Dominic with so much rage” I promise you Dominic, you and Lucien won't win this fight”. I said and immediately left, Anas followed behind me.
Nat looked at him with a smirk and powerfully tossed him to the ground” see you later”.
Dominic whined in pain.
I was panting when I got outside.
Anas gently patted my back” Calm down Eleanor, we are going to fix this”.
“What are you going to do now Eleanor?” Nat asked.
I sighed and ran my hand through my hair, I was losing it already.
I raised my head and looked at Matteo who was still standing at the car waiting for us “There is only one way now, I have to find a way to convince Dante to help me, Gosh I never wanted his help”.
“You know men like him always ask for something in return right?" Nat said.
“I know Nat, whatever the Viper asks for, I'm going to give. I can't let my ego come in the way of saving my Father's legacy” I responded.
“Let's go then,” Anas said . We all moved and entered the car
Matteo looked at me shortly and entered the car. We followed suit.
My heart was beating rapidly, I was going to face Dante again, this time not as arrogant as I used to be.
The thought of what he would asked in return make we scared.
