"Exactly that!" Jack slapped his thigh, disbelief written across his face. "The whole Midnight Pack is buzzing about it! The Alpha found some ancient ritual somewhere, and he's willing to sacrifice thirty years of his own life just to pull someone from death. Tell me that isn't insane."
I lowered my gaze to the swirling coffee in my cup, blowing without a word.
