“Hello, brother,” Neon said with a smile.
My heart pounded out of my chest. I could feel every cell in my body on fire.
Everyone’s attention was on him and me. Out of nowhere, Mum appeared, looking confused and startled.
“What!” she exclaimed. “What is going on here, Evans?” She glanced at me, her voice trembling.
She wasn’t the only person present out of the blue. Roxie was there too.
She knew of Neon being my twin but was still startled by the resemblance.
Her eyes widened as she stared back at me, then at Neon, who stood and smiled back at her.
“Tell me what is going on here, Evans?!” Mum raised her voice, her fear and confusion palpable.
