Dad stuck his head in our door and said, “If one of you is at a stopping point, the dining room table needs to be set.” “Perfect timing. I’ll be right there, Dad.” “I need ten more minutes,” Paul said. “Knock yourself out,” I said, and I headed for the dining room. By the time Paul showed up, the table was very nearly finished. “What can I do?” Paul said. “Open the two bottles of red wine you see on the sideboard so they can breathe,” I said.
