Chapter 7Frank Sinatra’s cover of “I Get a Kick Out of You” gently swayed out of a dust-lined Admiral clock radio at the back of a small, mostly dark office. A slice of light crept in through a narrowly opened door, but the only glare in the room came from a powerful desk lamp pointed at the center of the large wooden desk it sat on. Old metal file cabinets, each four drawers high, lined every wall. A couple of the drawers were open, each with a single folder tilted horizontally for special attention.
