Chapter 17“Do they see us?” Lisa gasped, her fingers taking a break from the tape around Sean’s wrists. The echo of gunfire still rumbled off the land. “No,” Sean whispered. “It’s not us they’re shooting at.” “At what then?” asked Lisa. “Pops and Asshole.” Sean was sitting on the dirt with Hannah on his lap, her little hands trying to latch onto Lisa’s familiar voice in the dark. His good shoulder was propped up against the base of a large, angled solar panel. They’d put at least a couple hundred yards and dozens of rows of paneling between them and the parking lot, under the faint light of the crescent moon above.
