Chapter 37It had been about fifteen minutes since Montoya’s Bronco had passed by, engine loudly rattling but the vehicle moving slowly and steadily without event. The men inside had assuredly strained their eyes through the vehicle’s windows, their flashlight beams gliding across the terrain, hoping to catch a glimpse of him or the SUV. But Sean had put plenty of distance between himself and the road. Even with minimal cover, just lying flat on the ground in his soiled clothes was enough to provide ample camouflage. He could no longer see the Bronco’s taillights to the north. If they hadn’t found the Tahoe yet, they soon would. Of that, Sean was sure. They’d only missed it the first time because they were moving fast and driving on the opposite side of the road. Neither would be the case
