Hässlicher didn't end the call and began following Mason. He saw the young adult running away as the girls were calling out his name and wondering why he left them. Hässlicher started to wonder what are Mason's powers and main weapons like the rest of them.
“Say, Heather, what's his main weapon?” Hässlicher asked as he saw him running.
“According to the high council, he doesn't have one.” Heather said. This made him confuse and what made it a lot more confusing is that Mason disappeared in a blink of an eye.
“What the…” Hässlicher was speechless as Mason was gone in a blink of an eye. He saw him running earlier, he has pure contact on him but he was gone. However, a few meters away, there was a building, Gothic-style architecture, and have a lot of students.
“He doesn't have a weapon but his abilities are far beyond Troy's, yours and even Amis.” Heather explained.
“And his abilities are?” Hässlicher asked as he looks around and tried to find Mason. He is easily to be spotted but when you lost track of him, expect to waste a lot of time to find him once more.
“You remember Apate?” Heather asked. Hässlicher told the angel that he doesn't know the deity’s powers since they rarely even battle or even if they could battle, he couldn't tell if that was hers since the group would help him.
“I see. His powers are more on to the Quantum spectrum of Quanti powers. Like Quantum Teleportation, Entanglement, Illusions, etc. Just as long as there is a subatomic particle, Mason can control that whatever he wants.” Heather explained. He knows a bit or two about the Quantum field and he is familiar with Quantum teleportation. He began wondering if Mason went through the wall or disappeared since there is a mention of Quantum teleportation.
“Can he teleport or something?” Hässlicher asked.
“According to the High Council, he doesn't teleport at all. He used the Schrödinger possibility, you need to know where he is.” Heather explained to the German once more.
“But how can I find him?” Hässlicher asked as he knows nothing about quantum physics.
“Okay, you need to have a probability. You can think of a possible location, pretend you are a nucleus and he is the electron. He isn't far and he can be found, think where he could be.” Heather explained. Hässlicher affirmed and began thinking where could Mason be. Normally, this is easy for students but for Hässlicher, this would take a long time.
“Where could he go….” Hässlicher said as he glanced around his surroundings and thinking the possible locations for Mason.
(Fun fact: According to the study of Bassett and Gazzaniga, the human brain can understand even the most complex things like knowing possible locations, probable outcome, and skewed data that computers sometimes have an issue with even without a scientific formula needed. And note, please do not use this as an argument about Mathematical formulas, those are based on and been accepted by many mathematicians. You can create a formula if you want but you need to be backed up by proof from your researches and make a good thesis to be accepted.)
“Having a hard time old man?” Mason said. Hässlicher turns around and saw him lying on the building's wall as he chews on a piece of bubble gum.
“So what do you want?” Mason didn't hesitated and began asking to Hässlicher.
“You know you have powers, right?” Hässlicher asked as he wanted to sure he knows his powers first before they could proceed. The cold wind blew as both men look at each other, one was avoiding while chewing gum, and the other was standing still.
“Of course. I was born with these powers.” Mason stated.
“Good. I need your help.” Hässlicher advertised.
“On what?” Mason retorted as he continued leaning to the walls.
“You see, there have been suspicious activities that have been going on lately here in Manchester.” Hässlicher told Englishman.
“And those suspicious activities are?” Mason blatantly asked as he shows no sign of interest in the activities has been going on.
“The supernatural: demons, deities, and spirits have been condemning this city for a while now. And it is your job to protect it.” Hässlicher said. Mason sighed and looked at the German with the face of someone who lacks the interest of doing business with.
“Listen Old man, I'm a student, not a warrior. It is my job to study hard for my country in the name of God, and not fight for God.” Mason grunted.
“Well, you seem to be tired. I'll get you some lunch and leave.” Mason offered as he wanted to get rid of him, he doesn't want to fight the supernatural or anything since he knows he doesn't have the capabilities to do so.
“Here, maybe this could change your mind.” Hässlicher said as he began calling Heather and threw it to Mason. The Englishman caught it and put it in his ears and waited for the calls. A few rings and the other line picked up.
“Hello?” Mason greeted.
“Mason. We need your help.” The other line said. It was a female voice and Mason look at the caller's name and it was Heather.
“Fine. As long as my studies and job aren’t interrupted.” Mason sighed as he had no choice but to give in since this is the only way out.
“Good, the man in front of you is Hässlicher, he is a messenger of mine and he wanted to sure that you are prepared and by the looks of things, you kinda can handle things on your own.” Heather said through the other line.
“So you are telling me that he is going to help me or just tell me about it?” Mason asked.
“He’s going to tell you about your powers and help you develop it to the next branch.” Heather declared to him.
“Okay… and is there anything else?” Mason blatantly asked the angel.
“No.” Heather negatively said to him.
“Alright. Bye.” He said as he ended the call and toss it back to Hässlicher.
“Right, I still have classes. You can take some lunch, I'll meet you in the cafeteria.” He said as he left Hässlicher in the open field. Unlike Troy and Amis' kindness, he was rude at almost everyone, the angel was also speechless on how, rude he was.
Mason was walking down the hallway as he began thinking on how can he balance his schedule. With classes, studying, having and a job and even worse, protecting the city. While walking, he accidentally stumble upon someone and somehow dropped their books.
“Sorry.” He said as he grabbed the books. He look up and saw it was a girl, it was his classmate, Leslie. He didn't bother thinking about her and grabbed her books and gave it to her, he left immediately and went back to class.
“Leslie! You seems to be lucky.” Said a female voice in the far end of the hallway.
“How come?” Leslie murmured as she didn't know what was going on.
“I mean look at your ring finger!” her friend pointed out and saw something that caught her attention.
“a red string?”
