Chapter Two
"Get up you lazy ass, you have been sleeping since morning," a lady in her mid-fifties yelled at the body on the bed, covered up with a blanket and a pillow stuffed in her arms.
"Hmmm, no ooo. I don't want to wake yet Mum, I'm just getting to sleep," she replied with a groan, turning over to the other side of the bed.
"I'm not up for your childish display Michelle, get up and do something useful with your life, the sun is almost setting," the lady complained, this time with action, taking away the blanket to reveal the sleeping beauty.
Beautiful might not fit in when it comes to describing the one on the bed, her straight flawless legs stretch as she tries to find her way back to reality.
"Good morning Mum," she murmured with a yearning, covering her mouth with her left hand.
"This is not morning Michelle, this is evening already," her Mum reminded.
"Go wash yourself up, you stink," she added, blowing away the air around her nostrils as Michelle made her way closer to her.
"Leave my room then," Michelle replied, leading her out of the room with a hand on her mum's left shoulder as she made her way out.
"Send my food please, I'm famished," she yelled before closing the door behind her.
Smiling to herself as she recalled her escapades with her friends last night.
"That was fun and crazy" she muttered to herself, falling to the bed and grabbing the pillow, she planted a kiss on the pillow with her eyes closed and a bright smile on her lips.
She was about to fall into another round of sleep when her ringing tone sounded, she reached out for the phone, accepted the call, and placed it on a loudspeaker as she dropped it on the bed with her eyes still closed.
"Hello Mich" a female voice came calling from the other end of the phone.
"Cut it b***h, why are you sounding so nice?" She asked and the caller chuckled.
"Get ready, fun tonight. I'll pick you up"
"Out of my phone," she commanded, dropping the phone and drawing her blanket closer with a sigh.
Another knock is heard on the door and Michelle hissed angrily.
"Why can't you people let me sleep in peace?" She yelled, throwing away the blanket and getting off the bed.
"It is me, Miss Michelle, Rose," a sonorous voice came sounding from outside.
"Fine, come in," Michelle ordered before she opened the door.
"Your food is ready," Rose announced with a smile, dropping the tray of food that was occupying her hands on the side table, close to Michelle's dressing table.
"Thanks," she said to Rose as she still stood with a smile on her lips.
"It's almost night time Miss Michelle and you haven't had your bath yet?" Rose asked with concern, moving closer to inspect Michelle who was sitting with a hand on her head.
"Feels like I'm having a hangover," Michelle responded, palming her face with her head down.
"You're always having a hangover," Rose noticed with a shrug.
"When will you stop being this way, Mich?" She asked, looking at Michelle whose head was still down.
One could see the relationship between the two, Rose has been Michelle's maid in the house. Being of the same age range makes their relationship easier, exactly what her parents thought before bringing Rose to work in the house. Being the only child hasn't been easy, with Rose around, Michelle was sure to have some company.
"Don't you dare start, Rose," Michelle warned, pushing away her hand that was resting on her shoulder and shifting away to give each other a gab?
"You can't keep running away from this Mich, you know this is not the only way out. You can't keep punishing your parents, they are worried sick for you Michelle..." She paused and took in a deep breath, looking at Michelle before continuing.
"You party, club all night with your good-for-nothing friends, you sleep all day and wake up with hangovers. You ran away from the office and the family business, you ran away from school and didn't get your degree. Tell me, what else do you want in life?" She asked with a raised voice, her eyes red.
"All I want is for you to leave my room and let me have my peace of mind," Michelle fired back, walking to the door and opening it wide for Rose.
"Get out," she yelled, slamming the door as she stepped out of the room.
She sigh and slumped down on the floor with her eyes closed, tears rolled down her cheeks as Rose's words kept echoing in her head.
"No oo o o o," she cried, stumping on her reading table, scattering away everything on her away. She cried her way to the bathroom and soaked herself up in the bathtub.
"I'm useless. That's what everyone thinks, my parents, Rose, and the public. Yes, everyone thinks I'm f*****g useless," she snarled and let out a loud laugh.

"What happened in there?" Mrs. Benson, Michelle's mother came rushing to Rose as she heard the commotion from Michelle's room.
"What's wrong with her?" She questioned authoritatively, giving Rose a fierce look.
"I'm really sorry Mrs. It's all my fault...," She sobbed.
"Calm down Rose and tell me everything," Mrs. Benson now inquire with a calm voice her hand caressing Rose's shoulder to calm her nerves.
Leading her to the living room, she sat her down and lowered herself beside her.
"Pull yourself together and tell me what transpired between you and Michelle"
"I said something which I wasn't supposed to utter, she's really angry with me," Rose managed to respond, trying to control her emotions.
"I know she's hurt, please go check up on her," she begged, now facing Mrs. Benson who looked away with a sigh.
"You know better than anyone else that what you're sending me to do is almost like an impossible mission," she reminded and Rose nodded.
"I know but you can still try..."
"Who told you that I haven't tried enough?" Mrs. Benson questioned with a raised voice, her pulse rising.
"You are always my last resort anytime I want to get to Michelle, if she's now fighting with you that means it's over, we can't get to her for now."
Just relax your mind Rose, she will come around and she will be fine," Mrs. Benson assured and Rose nodded, trying to convince herself to hope for the best.
As they both tried not to get themselves worked up and worried about Michelle, footsteps are heard, someone descending the stairs with a peal of loud laughter, distracting them both.
Rose and Mrs. Benson turned to behold Michelle, dressed up and matching towards the door without uttering a word to them.
"Where are you off to Mich?" Her mother asked with a smile, trying to get Michelle's attention.
"Why don't you continue the discussion with your precious daughter?" She teased with a smirk, making her way to the door.
"She won't change, will she?" Rose asked rhetorically, tapping her feet to hide her worries.
Mrs. Benson made her way to her part of the house, leaving Rose to continue in her state of thought.

"Hey Man, care to tell me what made you change your mind so fast?" Harry asked, shaking Richard's shoulder as they both sat inside the back seat of the car.
"Mum is around," Richard whispered and Harry laughed, covering his mouth with one side of his hand, careful not to upset Richard.
"Common Mr. Height, you're not scared of your Mum, are you?" He mocked and Richard hit his feet.
"Uhhsss, that hurts," Harry protested, caressing his feet, where Richard stepped on.
"That will teach you how to keep your mouth shut," Richard warned with his bold stern voice and Harry raised his both hands in surrender.
"Will you tell me where we are going?" Richard inquired after some minutes.
"It was supposed to be a surprise"
"I'm not one of those girls you're always deceiving to get in their pants, cut your surprises. Now, tell me where we're going"
"As if you have a choice," Harry teased.
"Fine. If I had I wouldn't be following you that's true, but I wouldn't want any unpleasant surprises from you," Richard persisted.
"Relax bro, you will find out soon," Harry calmed with a touch on Richard's arms.
Harry gave the driver some instructions and in no time the car came to a halt in front of a clubhouse.
"We are here" Harry screamed as they both descended from the car, trying to beat the noisy environment.
"This place is too loud Harry," Richard complained but Harry is already too far to hear him speak.
Making their way to the VIP section where the music is less, with dim lights and special tables, the place is designed for some special visitors, like Richard of course.
"We are going to enjoy ourselves here tonight" Harry proclaimed as the bartender came with drinks for them.
"Drink, come on. I have organized everything before coming, don't worry, just have fun," he added, patting his back before leaving the chair.
Harry sat in awe, this is not his first time in such a place so he wasn't really surprised, he attended many bars and go clubbing many times with Harry, and he understood the assignment.
Raising the glass of wine to his lips, he took a sip and dropped it quietly. Inhaling the air which smells of smoke and drinks, he sighs before taking another sip from his glass.
At the center of the room where Richard sat is the dancer, a pool dancer who is dressed as a slut, displaying her skills. She has to entertain the rich folks who come to have a great night in the bar and that's exactly what she was doing.
Holding on to the pool, she went up and twist her legs, sliding down, just her hands holding on, she bent herself and exposed her cleavages.
"Fuvk," Richard cussed, touching his pants to notice what the pool dancer was doing to him. He hate that mood, he quickly pushed down the remaining wine down his throat and made his way out of the room.
He decided to use the washroom, just splashing some water on his face. Taking in a breath of relief since the bar lights were dim, and no one can notice him.
The water rushed out immediately he turned on the faucet, washed his face and looked at herself in the mirror, smiled before washing again. He was about to zip up his trousers after using the toilet when the washroom door flung open.
"s**t s**t s**t," he cussed, turning away immediately.
"Female washroom?" The person asked, coming inside the washroom despite Richard's reaction.
"Really?" He questioned with disgust, turning to face the person after zipping up his trousers.
"Mr. Heiiiighhhttttt," the lady screamed, about to jump on Richard but he was too quick to understand her movement. He pushed her and rushed out of the bathroom instantly, without looking back.
Richard ran back to the room he was in before going to the washroom, he cussed within himself.
"Nothing seems right tonight," he murmured to himself, biting his lower lips, the action that has cursed many ladies to lose themselves whenever they are with him.
"What can I serve you, Sir?" A lady attendant asked seductively, running one of her fingers down Richard's biceps.
"You have nothing to offer," he protested, shrugging off her hands.
"Common baby, let me riiide you tonight," she insisted, rubbing his labs and moving up to his pants.
"Disgusting," he spits and got up from the chair, walking down to the bar.
"Give me that," he pointed to the bartender and he poured him a glass of wine, he took it and walked down to the dancing arena.
"Where the hell is Harrr..." He was about saying when someone bumped into him or he bumped into someone, let's just say they bumped into each other.
"You're not blind man, are you?" She questioned Richard who was still trying to get over himself.
"You spill my drink and that's all you can say?" He asked, raising his face to look at the lady in front of him.
"What can youuuu...." She froze for a moment as she beheld the person in front of her, mouth agape and one hand in the air.
