The faint hum of Julian's phone echoed in the quiet room, snapping his attention away from the map sprawled across the desk in front of him. His hand trembled as he reached for it, the intensity of the situation finally starting to hit him. His heart was racing, but there was no time to hesitate now. The phone call was from Michael, his head of security. “Julian, we have a lead,” Michael’s voice crackled through the line. “We’ve traced the van to a secluded area outside the city, near a private estate—seems to be Edmund’s. We’re on our way.” A cold shiver ran down Julian’s spine. He clenched his jaw, fighting the urge to lash out. The location was no surprise. Edmund had always been meticulous, and Julian knew that the man would have set up a stronghold where he thought he could remain
