Nora's POV
“Oh my gosh!” Amber screeched, stumping her feet violently against the tarred road.
I blinked repeatedly, tapping the man on top of me.
His hazel drifted away as his ear burned red. He cleared his throat, getting up. He straightened his posture, stretching his hand toward me. “Are you ok?”
I forced myself up, adjusting my dress. “I'm fine, thank you.”
“Nora!” Amber's worried voice cut through as she rushed over to me. “That was a close call. Are you hurt anywhere?” She asked, frantically scanning my body for any injuries.
I held her hand, forcing a smile, “I'm fine, really.”
“Please be careful,” Damien's cool voice boomed once more.
