Chapter 17.

1978 Words

My alarm scared me awake, practically making me jump. I reached on my bedside table and switched off the alarm in my phone.  Zac snored peacefully in my ear his arms wound tightly around me the way we fell asleep. When I tried to get out of Zac’s arms, he pulled me tighter towards him and he groaned.  “I’ve got to get ready for work, Zac.”  “Hmm don’t go,” he responds, his voice raspy, laced with sleep. I turn around, still in his arms until I face him. I reach my hand up and weave them onto his hair and he moans his appreciation.  “Not all of us have the luxury of not working, Zac,” I teased.  “Hey! I work,” he laughs with his eyes closed. I leaned into him, closing my eyes and letting my lips touch his softly.  “Zac?” “Yes?” he responds.  “I need to pee,” I say, and he chuckles.
