Chapter Two

Baby yawned and dragged her feet to the kitchen, she checked the time and rolled her eyes when she saw it was twelve in the afternoon.

"Ugh I woke up early today." She groaned loudly and smiled on seeing her mum cooking. She also loves food a lot.

"Baby you are up early today, is everything okay?" Her mother asked surprised.

"Yeah I know right? It's just twelve in the afternoon."

Her mother laughed and shook her head.

"So what are you cooking?"

"It's pasta."

"Wow." She giggled grabbing a fork and her mother slapped her hand as she was about to take out of it.

"Ouch." She yelped and her mother smiled.

"Go and brush your teeth, take your bath and get dressed then we can talk about eating."

"Wait why are we talking about eating?"

"Go and take your bath." Her mother yelled and pushed her out of the kitchen. She groaned and walked to her room slowly.

She was finally done and got dressed in a baggy jean and top, she wore her flip flops and walked to the kitchen. Her mother already dished it out and she giggled. She ate it all and asked for more but her mother glared at her and she smiled.

"Bye mum am leaving." She yelled from the living room and her mother quickly ran to her.

"Wait."

"What is it mum?"

"Rules for the day, don't break anything, don't fight with anyone, don't watch Spongebob Squarepants in another person's house, don't steal fruits from Mr&Mrs Phillips, don't get into someone else's fight, don't threaten anyone, don't bully anyone, don't steal fruits from me your mother today and the most important thing of all don't get arrested again." Her mother listed and she smiled before nodding.

"Have got everything and I will try so hard not to break any of the rules."

"Good, you can leave now." Her mother said and turned her back to her, Baby smiled and slowly picked one of the fruits in the basket her mother placed on the floor.

Her mother turned to her and she ran out of the house immediately.

"You just stole from me!" She yelled and Baby laughed as she ran to Emily's house.

She was about to jump in and she froze on seeing her parents.

"Oh hey guys, I didn't see you there." She laughed nervously and walked towards them.

"Baby you do realise that you can go in through the front door right?" Emily's father said and she laughed nervously.

"Yes I know, I will be going through it now, see you guys later." She giggled and ran inside the house, she walked to Emily's room and barged in.

"I know you can never knock." Emily rolled her eyes as she folded her clothes.

"And besides you are up early today, is everything okay?"

"I know right? I do not know what is wrong with me today." She laughed happily and sat on the bed.

She noticed that Emily wasn't just folding her clothes but was packing.

"Emily where are you going?"

"We are moving."

"Ohh so where are you moving to in the neighbourhood?" She asked and Emily sighed.

Emily slowly sat down beside and held her hand.

"Baby we are not moving to anywhere in the neighbourhood, we are moving far from here."

"Well it's not to far to take a taxi."

"You can't take a taxi to Salado in Texas Baby, am moving to Texas tomorrow and am not coming back anymore." She muttered and Baby kept staring at her.

She slowly placed her hand on her chest and creased it.

"Does your heart hurt?" Emily asked in fear and she slowly shook her head, tears fell freely from her eyes and she quickly stood up.

"Why are you moving?"

"Cause I have to go to school and start my life, I have to earn a living, I don't want to keep getting into trouble and getting arrested."

"So I want to keep living this life?" She whimpered.

"No Baby don't get me wrong, I really want to stay but a better life is waiting for me in Texas and I have to go." She sighed and Baby nodded.

"I have to go now, mum needs me." She muttered and walked to the window, she jumped down and walked slowly with her heart hurting.

She got to a silent place and cried, she hugged herself and closed her eyes.

Baby finally got home when it was eight at night, her mum was really worried and had gone to Emily's house but they said she wasn't there.

Baby walked into the house looking awful and her mother rushed to her, she hugged her tightly and smiled at her.

"Baby are you okay?"

"Emily is moving to Texas tomorrow." She breathed out and her mother quickly consoled her.

"Stop crying, you are going to have an attack please."

"She said she wants to live a new life, she said she wants to go to school and earn a living, she said she doesn't want to get arrested anymore." She cried and her mother sighed.

"Come sit."

They both sat down and her mother smiled at her.

"You know when your father was alive it wasn't because of money that's why you didn't go to school, it was because of your heart. Cardiomyopathy isn't a minor illness Baby, you can't go to school and places like that, keeping you here helps you live longer and I don't want to lose you. Her mother wept and she nodded.

"Thanks mum." She appreciated and hugged her mother before walking to her room.

Baby woke up the next day and got dressed, she walked to the living room and fell on the couch.

"Baby aren't you going to see Emily before she leaves?" Her mother asked walking out from the kitchen.

"Who?"

"Emily your best friend that is leaving for Texas today." Her mother said and she sat up immediately.

"Oh my God I forgot!" She screamed and ran back in her room to take her toy g*n. She ran back and ran out of the house.

She ran to Emily's house and met it locked.

"Shit." She yelled and kicked the door.

"Okay when someone wants to travel to another country the person goes with a plane, the person goes to a plane park which is actually an airport, yes an airport." She screamed happily and ran to the road.

She stopped in front of a taxi and ran inside it.

"Take me to the airport and I will pay you any amount you want." She lied and the man smiled.

He drove her to the air port and she ran down, she entered and looked around. She finally saw Emily and her parents and ran to them.

"Baby." Emily called happily and hugged her. She breathed heavily and smiled at the same time.

"You shouldn't have run all the way here."

"Ohh I didn't really run though, are you leaving already?"

"Yes we are about to."

"Okay I love you Emily and am so happy for you and sad at the same time cause you won't be here when I get married to Jeremy." She joked and they both laughed.

"I will miss you Baby."

"I will miss you too Emily." She replied and they both hugged each other.

"There she is." She heard a familiar voice and she looked back to see the taxi driver with some guards.

"Baby what did you do?"

"Never mind, bye guys I love you." She rushed her words and ran towards the exit of the airport.
