Chapter 13 ‘Well, that didn’t take as long as I expected,’ I muttered, trying not to pout. ‘Don’t worry, we’ll find something. There are still a few more shops to try,’ Tim reassured me. ‘No, please, no more today. It’s torture.’ ‘Then we’ll check out the boutique stores when we reach Melbourne. It’s hardly my area of expertise, but I’m sure it’s not unusual to want to visit more than three stores before choosing The Dress,’ he said. ‘Besides, everything you tried on looked stunning to me. I liked the one with the slinky thingy at the back. And the one with no back. And the one with the poofy curtain thingys on the skirt was pretty nice and I’m not really helping, am I?’ ‘Not at all, no. And I’m afraid it won’t matter how many shops I try, none of those dresses suit who I am anymore.’
