Sharon was stunned as she saw the bank card. Was this man laughing at her because she now became homeless?
Nathan knew he had made a mistake when he saw the sadness on her face. He took it back in a hurry and explained, "I... I didn't mean it."
Sharon shook her head and said, "Never mind. I'm homeless now. I even don't know where I can go."
Nathan looked around the room. It was by no stretch of the imagination a sweet home, though a nice suite. What this girl wanted the most was the warmth of home!
"Wait a moment. Let's go back after I pack."
Sharon was confused when she saw him begin to pack his clothes.
"Where are we going?"
She couldn't help asking.
Nathan was agile in packing, being graceful and charming.
"Go home."
Those words escaped his mouth casually. His voice was not warm, but it did drive Sharon's sadness away.
"Go home?"
Sharon was stunned. Nathan made his way to her, saying, "Yeah, our home." He murmured. But that made Sharon feel a warm current in her heart.
They got out of the hotel and came to a Rolls-Royce Phantom. "Get in."
When Sharon approached the car, she was shocked. This was a limited version! Who was on earth this man?
She was still scanning the car with hesitance, and Nathan's voice came again.
...
"Relax, I'm living alone."
Nathan glanced at her and said in a gentle voice.
But Sharon's smile froze as she heard this.
What? A single man living by himself?
"But he was not a bad guy, right? Anyway, he had helped me many times," Sharon thought to herself.
She had ridden in more than one Rolls-Royce before, but none of them were limited versions. Even her richest friend couldn't afford this one. This man was like a mystery to her!
They stopped by a villa. "Here we are," Nathan reminded her.
This villa was in a peculiar design. But it was located in a hidden place, surrounded by tall and green trees. Though the place was not far away from the bustling streets, it was tranquil here.
"Make yourself at home. What're you in for dinner?"
"Thanks, but I'm good..."
"I'm grabbing some snacks."
Sharon shifted her gaze up and down at the villa. A vintage crystal chandelier was suspended from the high ceiling. Some famous paintings were decorated on the wall. Honestly, the master of the house was in a good taste.
"Do you like here?"
Nathan came out of the kitchen with a tray in his hands.
Sharon nodded and asked, "What's your business?" Though it was not polite, she still popped that question.
"I just work nine to five. Nothing special."
"Grab some food here."
"But..." Sharon wanted to say something, but she was hesitant.
She clearly remembered that this man had said he was going to acquire Hawks Group when she just woke up. Was that an illusion?
She wanted to know if he really agreed to help her as well.
Nathan stared at her as if he could read her mind. "Have some food and we gotta run to a*****e for some necessities. As for your concern, I'll let you know when I get some news."
"It's too much for me to get necessities here."
Stopped by at Kinel Plaza, the most high-end shopping mall in this city, Sharon got cold feet.
Nathan smiled, "You deserve better. Come on, let's find some good stuff." After that, he strode into the mall. Sharon had to follow him in but was determined to tighten her belt in the coming days.
"Toothpaste, toothbrush, towel, some underwear... It's done."
Sharon counted the things she had bought. When she finished and looked at Nathan, she saw he was staring at a night skirt in a window.
"Nice one. It suits you well. Go and have a try."
Sharon didn't think it was a good idea to try on before him... But Nathan had already strode into that store.
When she reached out to touch the skirt, another hand also stretched out. Sharon directed her gaze to that woman.
"Sharon?"
"Renata."
The two women looked at each other embarrassedly.
"I thought you were in the police station. Dad kicked you out and cut off the tie with you. Who bailed you out?"
Renata smiled smugly. She kept mocking Sharon with sharp words.
Sharon glared at this hypocritical face in front of her. She wanted to remove that mask and exposed her bad nature.
"Why did you set me up?" Sharon gritted her teeth and asked Renata.
Renata said in an innocent tone. "What are you talking about? Set you up? Those photos were evidence. It was known to all you are lustful. Just admit it..."
As she spoke, she then saw Nathan standing steps away from Sharon. She was shocked and shut up.
This man was staring at her with his cold eyes. He got a chiseled face, but a flicker of dangerous aura emitted from his body.
Sharon snorted, "It will come out in the wash. Just a matter of time. But I'll never get over with what you've done to me."
"Stop bluffing here." Renata glanced at the night skirt and then at Nathan. She walked to Sharon and whispered. "You're here to buy a night skirt with a man. If I take a photo here, this will be another evidence. You can't hide this."
"You..." Sharon glared at her and was irritated.
"Fine, we'll skip this one. It's dirty now for someone else touched it." Nathan cut in.
Then he held Sharon's hand. Before he turned, he gave a warning look to Renata.
Someone else?
Dirty?
"Damn it."
Renata cursed.
"It's all set here. Let's go back."
