Chapter 32

982 Words
Yesterday at the bar, Scar had asked Walter for help, but Walter was torn apart by Simon, leaving Chloe in a state of shock. Simon didn't want to kill Scar, so Scar found a chance to escape. He never expected that after narrowly escaping death last night, his men would provoke this deadly figure again today! With that thought, Scar hit even harder, and Done soon passed out. Afterward, Scar approached Jack with a humble attitude, saying, "Respected sir, I have nothing to do with them. I don't know them at all!" Scar had just finished speaking when Zeke shouted, "Scar, you can't do this! We just had dinner together, and I gave you money. Don't you remember?!" "You shut up!" Scar charged at Zeke and began another round of beating. Zeke's sister screamed, but Scar became even more ruthless. Soon, Zeke was covered in blood. "Mr. Steele..." Tina, who had been silent all along, was scared and couldn't help but speak. "It's okay, let them fight. We're leaving," Jack said casually. After they left, Scar finally stopped beating Zeke. Done also staggered up, crying as he approached Scar, "Boss, why did you hit me? Is that guy really that terrifying?" "It's not just about being terrifying," Scar took a deep breath and shook his head. "That man could kill us!" Then his tone changed, "But this fear is temporary. Once we join that powerful figure, we won't have to fear him anymore." "Who is this powerful figure?" Done asked curiously. "He's a very influential man. He was already a notorious gang leader and now has a big backer. In the future, he'll be at the top of Wyndcrest's power hierarchy!" Scar said admiringly. Zeke stood up and said, "Mr. Scar, could you introduce me to him? I won't let Jack off the hook!" "No problem. I only beat you because I had no choice. To make it up to you, I'll introduce you to this powerful figure!" Scar agreed. "Thank you, Mr. Scar!" Zeke bowed repeatedly, eyes filled with hatred for Jack. Meanwhile, Jack and Tina, having bought the textbooks, headed to Dragon Crest. Seeing the ultra-luxurious villa at the top, Tina couldn't help but stare in amazement. "Mrs. Trump, from now on, you will live here with my sister. Please take care of her daily needs," Jack said calmly. "Aren't you staying here, Mr. Steele?" Tina asked. "I often need to go out for work, and living here isn't convenient," Jack replied. He was comfortable in the presidential suite at Eastwoods Hotel and saw no need to move. When he decided to marry Emily Foster, he might consider buying a new place or rebuilding this one. She was staying in such a luxurious villa for the first time, and she estimated that any decoration inside must be extremely expensive. If she accidentally broke one, she wouldn't be able to pay for it even if she worked for a lifetime! Thinking about these problems made her a bit uneasy. But Jack gave her no chance to object, leading them inside the villa. After instructing Cindy to study hard, Jack turned to leave. As he was descending the mountain, his phone rang. Seeing it was Nancy calling, he answered. "Mrs. Foster, is there a problem?" Jack asked. "Jack, what on earth have you been doing? Emily has been taken by the Foster family, and you didn't even know?!" Nancy shouted angrily. "What?" Jack furrowed his brow and said, "I'll be there immediately." Just as he finished speaking, a Mercedes silently pulled up in front of him, driven by Simon. "To the Foster family's old mansion," Jack instructed as he got into the back seat. The car sped through the streets, reaching the Foster family's old mansion in under ten minutes. Inside the estate, Emily was being forcibly tied to a chair. Ladyship Foster, holding a riding crop, spoke coldly, "Emily, are you going to confess or not? What exactly did you tell Mr. Long of Destroy Steele Group?" "Grandma, I didn't say anything. I don't even know why you brought me here," Emily responded, confused and anxious. "Hmph!" Ladyship Foster snorted and lashed the crop against Emily's ankle. "Ah!" Emily cried out in pain, tears streaming down her face. "Will you tell me the truth now? Everyone knows you have a good relationship with Chairman Long. Why else would he insist you sign the contract?" Ladyship Foster's gaze grew colder. "Because…" Emily bit her lip. She wanted to reveal that Drake and Jack were like brothers but feared that once she did, her relatives, who only cared about profit, would incessantly harass Jack for more benefits from Destroy Steele Group. "Grandma, she has nothing to say!" Bob, seizing the moment, interjected. Ladyship Foster, infuriated, raised the crop to strike Emily again. 'Jack, help me…' In a desperate moment, Emily closed her eyes tightly, praying silently. Suddenly, a sharp sound rang out, but she felt no pain. Opening her eyes in surprise, she saw Jack's tall figure standing before her. Ladyship Foster's vicious crop was caught effortlessly in Jack's hand. "Jack!" Bob shouted, stepping forward angrily, "How dare you barge in here? Who allowed you in?" Hearing this, Jack's anger surged. His icy gaze swept over everyone present, "How dare you harm my woman!" With that, he yanked the crop from Ladyship Foster's grasp, causing her to stumble. If not for Hanks's quick support, she might have fallen. "Jack! How dare you lay a hand on Grandma!" Bob, despite the situation, felt a twisted glee. Jack was digging his own grave by attacking Ladyship Foster. This would ensure that Emily's family had no place in the Foster family. While Bob was fantasizing, Jack's crop lashed out like lightning, striking Bob squarely in the face. "Smack!!!" The sound of air cracking accompanied the blow. Bob's mouth became a mess of blood and shattered teeth!
