Silent lies

Chapter Two

The drive was AWFULLY quiet and UNCOMFORTABLE. Alex stayed silent as if he was thinking deeply.

I looked the other way to avoid the tension between me and Alex.

"Ava, what's wrong," Alex murmured.

I took a large breath.

"Alex, I got fired and my son of a B***H boyfriend cheated on me," I screamed. There was that awkward pause.

Alex responded, "Until you find employment, Ava, you can watch my brothers." I questioned whether I should stay away from him as I stared at him. This strong magnetic pull is sensational.

"Okay," I muttered. I was dropped off at my apartment by Alex. It's terrible that I couldn't watch his brothers while I was feeling attracted to him. Alex, who is my cousin's boyfriend . I just hate him.

I'm forced to accept his offer , I looked the other way and fell asleep.

" Ava, making you horny and making you smile are my two favorite things", Alex whispered. Which gives me a tingling sensation down there?

Bleep-bleep-bleep-bleep.

I smashed my alarm clock. At the moment, my head hurts. I feel as though I was just hit by a bus due to my hangover. My phone starts vibrating. I don't know who the heck is messaging me right now.

Alex: Ava don't forget to come and babysit my brothers... Or did you forget about it ?

Me: Fart I didn't forget that.

Alex: Um... Gumtree, I'm just telling you.

Me : ?

He is an absolute asshole. All I need is a good cup of black coffee and a cold shower. I entered the restroom after taking off all of my clothing. But a distant memory popped into my head.

FLASHBACK

Ava, Ava... my cousin Ariel screamed.

" Yes, Ariel, " I said. Remember Alex, your neighbor, who was also in the same elementary school. He asked me out and I said yes, "she said. Ariel knew I had a crush on Alex. I smiled and hugged her and told her that I was happy for them. I returned home and I fell asleep crying.

END OF FLASKBACK

I went to my room after wrapping my towel around myself. Given how hot it is outside, I choose to wear shorts.



My phone keeps buzzing. Ohh God who's sending messages now.

Alex: Where the hell are you?

Me: I'm on my way.

It's going to be a terrible day. I really hope I don't kill Alex.
