I grew nervous the closer it got to night fall. We all sat at the table having dinner. Fredrick held my hand the entire time. He was excited and didn’t try to hide it. Fredrick stopped talking mid sentence and stared at me. I put my fork down and looked at him.
“What?” I asked.
“Oh yes, you missed it earlier. She ate almost her entire breakfast too.” Ashley said.
“This makes me very happy.” Fredrick leaned over and kissed my cheek. Henry dropped his fork and got up.
“Well I have some work to finish.” He walked out.
“He’s been acting so off today.” Ashley said after he left.
“Yes it must’ve been our meeting earlier.” Fredrick said.
“Meeting? About what?” Ashley asked putting down her fork.
“It’s nothing, we decided not to do anything about it unless we’re prompt in some way.”
