Dinner was awkward. Ashley barely ate and never spoke. Henry watched me and Fredrick the entire time. Fredrick tried to hold my hand and kiss me multiple times. Almost as if he was dangling me above the table to p*ss off everyone.
“Excuse me.” I said and I got up from the table. Fredrick followed me into the hall.
“Julia!” Fredrick called after me. I stopped and turned.
