I barely ate or slept. I looked out the window at the sun shining on the evergreen trees. The door opened and a maid came in laying a plate of food down, she quickly left. I walked over and inspected the food, I quickly walked back to the window. I looked down at the troops training and saw Fredrick talking to someone. I thought about how I could feel the mate bond but not as strongly as I did with Henry. Worried that my half healed mark was to blame. I looked back up to the trees and the sky, I tried not to think about Hannah, but any time I heard a child laugh or saw a child run by I would. I wondered if I would ever see her again.
