Beep!Beep!!Beep!!!
The high-pitched alarm rang, and Ashley lazily activated the snooze button. She went to sleep so late last night because she couldn't stop thinking about how strange David had suddenly become.
Naomi, her Mom, opened her bedroom door when Ashley couldn't get out of bed.
"Rise and shine Ashley!" Her Mom yelled at her "You're going to be late if you don't get up now".
Reluctantly, she opened her eyes, sat up, and yawned.
"Can I just stay home today, Mom?"
She asked lazily.
"No, you are not going to. James called in earlier, he said, he is coming to pick you up."
Ashley kicked her quilt cover off and climbed out of bed.
"He shouldn't have bothered," she muttered to herself.
"That boy is a very good boy," her Mom smiled before leaving her room.
