"I would like to file a missing person's report," Janet has just arrived at the NY Police Department. She had just gotten off from work and it is already late.
Instead of answering, the police, who looks like he does not care one bit, gives her something that looks like a form
"What is this?"
"Fill it up. It's a missing person's form," he says like it was obvious.
"And then?" Janet asks for the next course of action she expected they would do.
"Then, you wait to hear back from us maam, when someone has reported to us."
"Aren't you going to do anything now?" Janet queries, getting annoyed by the police's behavior by the second. She adds, "go at her apartment to find something for clues, perhaps?"
He answered her with a shrug, "this is what we do, maam, and this is not an active case
