Clay feels groggy, her head feeling like its about to explode, pumping hard at the back of it like it has its own heart. Though every pump hurts, and she feels like something is poking her eyes out of its socket because of the severity of it. Her eyes took their time adapting to the place, blurry when she first opens them, and each forceful blink of her eyes, she sees a little better.
