“You're Liam Kingsley?” Aria asked, she couldn't believe her eyes. She continuously flipped through the papers, searching for something and there it was, his full name written boldly, an official marriage seal and her name written on the document with a bold writing “MARRIED. Aria was shocked, her first time getting drunk and she ended up being married. Just then memories of last night came rushing in, she couldn't believe she was the one that asked to be married “Ooh no no!” She screamed. “I can't believe I asked for this”. Just when she was trying to get her life back in shape then this happened. “You remember now wifey, I was just fulfilling you wish” Liam smirked “Not like this, this wasn't how I wanted to get married”. She cried out. She had pictured her wedding long before now, getting married to the man of her dreams with loads of people present, her best friend by her side but this was exactly the opposite of her plans. “Are you really a billionaire” She asked “Does it make it better or worse?” Liam asked, leaving a smirk. “You just don't see anything wrong with this huh?” Aria groaned while pacing the room. “This can't be real, noo. I need an annulment” She said profusely. “I can't get married not now, and even if I want to get married not to some stranger”. “I need to see Maya, this can't be happening to me no, I need to talk to someone” Aria snapped. “That will be complicated, wifey” Liam said with a smile on his lips. “Complicated, how?. We were both drunk, it's certainly a mistake, it's a mistake” Aria screamed She was getting really pissed off and this man here seemed to be happy about it. “Mistake, c'mon wifey it was much of a mistake, u needed it and so did I. So I was practically fulfilling your desire” Liam smirk. “And it was also a big favour for me wifey”. Picking up his phone, he showed her loads of notifications from the public. “Apparently, the wedding has boosted my company's name, and my board is currently blowing up.” “My company has been going low for some while, we have been tied down with a bad scandal from the public, so this wedding is our biggest distraction, it can't be called off wifey” Liam said Aria just stared at the screen, their wedding was really the talk of the day, she just couldn't believe her eyes. The whole media was burning out, their pictures were all over the place with different headlines attached to them. She just stared at her pics, she was looking so happy holding the bouquet in her hands in front of the priest. She couldn't believe she happily got married to someone she didn't know “You are using me as a distraction?” Aria asked while avoiding the screen. “Not intentionally”, Liam snapped. “Let's get married for just three months and in these three months no feelings, no expectations and you will be fully compensated” Liam offered. “You want me to be in a fake marriage just for money?” Aria asked while staring at him. “You will be helping yourself too, I checked your event company, and it's almost bankrupt. If you don't accept this deal wifey you will go bankrupt” Liam said while staring back at her. “So you go all about organizing a research on people huh” Aria snapped “And I am quite good at it wifey” Liam said while pouring himself a drink. Aria slumped on the bed, the weight of her life came crashing on her. She had no savings, no business partner, no client base and no one to stand for her except her best friend. Her apartment was at the brick of being loose, and here a man offering her a lifeline. “Just three months” She asked “Three, he nodded, then we will calmly get ourselves a divorce, you go your own way, I go mine. You will get enough money to save your business or start afresh”. She studied him for a while, he was calm, collected and unreadable. She could feel a sense of arrogance, something like he hated needing her help. “What's your catch?” “No one will know it's fake,” he said. “Not even the media, your friends or your family”. She stared at him “you want me to lie to my people”. Liam leaning close to her said “C'mon wifey we both know you don't have family, so you don't really have to worry about that, u know”. Aria stared at him for a while her only family died some years past leaving her in this cold world, she thought “It's temporary and necessary for both of us” Liam said interrupting her Aria gave out a sharply laugh “You're insane” Liam gave a smirk “No insult wifey”. “I can't promise you that, I have a best friend and I can't keep secrets with her” Aria said. “So I am just going to tell only her”. “Fine, do what you want but if the news that it is fake reaches the public, I won't go easy on you” Liam snapped. Aria standing up from the bed “So three months it is, no kissing except when cameras are on, and I want everything in writing”. “Of course” Liam said smoothly “My legal team are drafting the contract”. She grabbed her purse heading for the door “Let's meet in my office today at 12pm” Liam said Aria stood for a while “Sure and one more thing Kingsley, I don't do feelings, so don't expect anything from this relationship Kingsley”. Liam leaned casually on the wall, eyes dreaming “Neither do I Mrs. Kingsley, you have nothing to worry about”. “See you at 12”. He said with a smile Just as the door clicked behind her Liam smile faded Because the biggest lie he had t old wasn't that he was marrying her to save his company. It was that he didn't have any feelings.
